Have the good fortune of being able to work with Brandon and the other therapists at IR, and I am thrilled with the way they have served my family. Solid strategies, a focus on building and maintaining a strong relationship between parent and child, a supportive group that is safe and has invaluable shared wisdom...these people genuinely care about and understand kids (especially teens) and help us parents navigate what can be unchartered, frustrating, unpredictable times. I went here for about six months to see Chula Tran. She unceremoniously dumped me as a client and didn't return any of my texts or calls without a word, after 6 months of working together. Outside of our sessions, I only contacted her to schedule appointments, so rest assured I wasn't an overbearing client. While I was seeing her, she would often come late to our sessions and leave me waiting outside for up to an hour. I let it slide while we were still working together but after witnessing how she handled dumping me, I realize how unprofessional and potentially dangerous this kind of behavior could be to less stable patients. Therapists are supposed to be reliable and empathetic and being suddenly dropped as a patient is incredibly jarring. I didn't believe in therapy for years afterwards and have only just begun to open up about my mental health again. Heavily recommend against working with Chula if you have a choice.
