Tinika is an amazing therapist at Humble Beginnings Counseling. After spending months with another therapist who wasn’t a match for me, I then received a referral for her. Best decision I ever made. She’s a great listener, give great advice and really dig deep down to pull out build up hurt, disappointment, anger, etc. She knows the structure of her career well. She is very good at handling grievance and everyday life crises. She’s flexible, honest and raw when she needs to be. I would definitely recommend her for your mental health services. I can appreciate where I am now verses where I started.

I started with Tinika about 2yrs ago (during the pandemic) after not been satisfied with the therapist I was seeing during that time. I knew from the 1st session I would be a life-long client! Tinika does A LOT of listening and THEN she counsels! I would recommend her for family, individual or couples therapy! I told her if she ever moved, I'm following her! 🙂 There are just some things you shouldn't compromise on. Getting your mental peace and healthy state of mind is one of them. Tinika is great about holding you accountable so that you can reach that level of a healthy state of mind, despite all that you may be dealing with in your day-to-day life.... Would definitely recommend her!

I have been seeing Tinika Prince on a weekly basis since May of 2021 and it has been absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have evolved so much since starting therapy and I have her to thank for that. She is very patient with me and non-judgmental even when I don’t follow through on her advice and it works against me later. She’s also very interactive and solution oriented. I also like the fact that we use workbooks to work on areas I’ve been struggling with. I look forward to therapy every week and always feel like a new, improved and empowered person when I leave my session.

I cannot begin to explain how rewarding my experience was with Ms. Prince. When I initially came to her I was so broken and depressed. I remember my first session with her, I couldn't even articulate myself without crying. The first thing she taught me was to breathe. Those breathing and calming techniques she taught me, I still use to this day! Her techniques and counseling services has completely changed my life around. I now wake up with a positive thought process. I learned how to get through my panic attacks and control my anxiety episodes. But most importantly she taught me how to set boundaries with people. This was something I struggled with for years but I have now gotten so much better thanks to Ms. Prince. She was also very supportive of my writing career. She bought one of my novels and gave me great feedback. I would recommend anyone work with her. She helped me realize the importance of self-love and I am truly grateful for my experience with her.

I am so happy to have found my counselor at Humble Beginnings Counseling and Wellness Center. During each session she makes me feel comfortable and allows me to discuss whatever topic or issue I want to discuss without feeling judged or rushed. I appreciate the honesty, the realness, and the respect that I get from my counselor. I always leave each session feeling so much better. I highly recommend her as she is awesome.
