Front desk staff were great! Had a chance to converse with all shifts. The room was very clean! The hotel common areas were clean! I was truly disappointed in the breakfast. Coffee was only warm (heated it up in the MW). Great selection of food. But, omelettes were not totally cooked. (The cheese was not melted inside, and cold had to microwave. Turkey patties were dry and over cooked. Usually at Holiday Inn they have brown sugar, walnuts, and raisins for the oatmeal. The last four we stayed at offered the above. Even though it was packaged oatmeal.
No hard boiled eggs offered. Refrigerator was basically empty. Must have been busy.
Never did see the breakfast attendant. Usually they come out and converse a bit. Breakfast wasn't busy at 8:15. I would have given 5 stars if breakfast would've payed attention to detail.

I was traveling and had no choice but to stay at this motel. It cost 188 dollars a night. There were only 2 rooms available this particular night. I was under the impression that Holiday Inn was an upscale motel. I was surprised to find the trash can in my room was full of beer cans and the bathroom sink had makeup remains on it. Like I said this was the only choice I had and there were no more rooms available. I called my wife and told her where I was staying and she told me they have one of the best breakfasts availible. The coffee was the worst I have had since I was in the military and the breakfast was inedible. I don't know how powdered scrambled eggs can be slimy but these were. The cereal was stale and there were no other decent options. I have had better breakfasts at motels that were far cheaper. I do not know how they can justify charging nearly 200 dollars a night and not provide better service than this.

Breakfast was disappointing. (8:15) Great selection nice and clean
Coffee not hot had to microwave. It was warm at best
Omelette cold cheese was not even melted. Microwave did the trick for both coffee and eggs.
Was going to mention to breakfast attendant but wasn't around.
I will be back like next weekend.

Holiday Inn express and suites in Chanute is one of the finest properties I’ve ever stayed in!!! I travel frequently and have stayed in a lot of properties, but absolutely none of them as nice clean and accommodating as this property.

I would also like to praise two of their employees The first being a front desk employee named Mattie, her personality, work ethic and friendliness needs to be an example for all Holiday Inn express and suites employees! Another employee that went above and beyond was a lady named Vickie! She as well is a tremendous employee who went out of her way to make sure my reservations were done correctly and thoroughly and when I checked out, made it a point to tell me goodbye and thank me for staying at this property!!!

I can only tell you that if you’re in the area around Chanute, Kansas, don’t even begin to consider going to anywhere else to stay other than the Holiday Inn and suites in Chanute, Kansas I absolutely guarantee you you will not be disappointed at all. You will be totally satisfied as was I. The two previous employees I mentioned Mattie and Vicky definitely deserve a huge commendation,performance bonus, and a pat on the back. Great job ladies great job.!!!!👏

Our experience was wonderful. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious, comfortable in temperature. Bathroom was very nice, clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. 1st stay experience was great, so I made a 2nd reservation. Service was good. However, rooms were not clean. There was hair all over the bathroom, and there was dust on most of the fixtures' coffee machine. The microwave was dirty. I couldn't ask for another room as I was kids and checked in very late in night. It would be a no for next time.

So I stayed here for over a month Oct. 13 - Nov. 21. I had a great stay. I gave them 2 stars for the simple fact my reservation said single bed, and I get put in a double. I was alone so I did not worry about it. Well I came back today Nov. 30 reservation said single king. Well I get a double again... it is very inconvenient this time. If you don't have the room don't accept the reservation. Few other things about this place. Outdoor grill/fire pit area is great. If you do laundry do small loads. Website says heated pool, it is heated with ice.

Very good hotel, cleaning crew did a terrific job and the bed was very comfortable. My wife loved having a little chaise lounge up against the window (king room), and the overall room was very spacious.

Only downside is the coffee is not good and the only really good coffee shop in town is down on Main St so it's not convenient.
