Update 9/4/24: The owner took THREE MONTHS to reply to my comment, and then tries to discredit me by saying they do/did not have an employee named Crystal. Which is exactly what the other reviewers said they would do, so I'm not surprised. Still disgusted though. If it wasn't your employee, as you claim, why do you feel the need to make it right? This also makes me more convinced that the other reviews are truthful, and that they are reviewing the correct business.

Update: a $9.72 tip was applied to my account, the next day, after I posted this review. Thanks āœŒšŸ¼

I had an unpleasant experience at this place of business yesterday, and I thought I would just go ahead and let any prospective clients know what caliber of people you're dealing with here.

This is called tip baiting.

I'm a delivery driver, and I do a *good job* of it, I take pride in my work. I have a 99% satisfaction rate, I'm extremely careful with my customers orders, I am quick, efficient and friendly. I never run two apps at the same time. Therefore my customers orders are delivered when they are supposed to be, often early.

At lunch time yesterday, I accepted a 44 minute/12mile trip for $14. I drove directly to the restaurant, I waited there for several minutes while they finished preparing my customers food (which I am not required to do), I then put my customers food directly into a thermal delivery bag (which I purchased, it was not provided for me), to maintain an ideal temperature for the trip.

All was good when I hand delivered it directly to Crystal (mind you, it was early, 10 minutes before it was scheduled to be delivered, from my end), who is very sweet in person, but then...

*she took my $10 tip away after I left*

Which means I just drove across town, working for almost 40 minutes on her order, for $4.

That's less than $6/hour, after I account for fuel and my expenses.

Why would you do that to someone How would you like it if you worked for someone for a certain amount, and then they paid you less than a third of what they promised you

She just gave herself, your organization and your religion a bad name. Be better.

One of the best counseling centers in the country for treating sex addiction, intimacy anorexia, and other relationship problems. They offer many different types of counseling in their office and even over the phone. The lobby is nice, there is free coffee and snacks, they have a fridge for storing lunch, and the staff is friendly. Dr. Doug is the best too!

I would have given this place a ZERO! I saw Doug on Day Star thought wow he really makes sense so since the office is right around the corner and I was experiencing some PTSD with my sexual abuse I would give them a try. I called to make an appointment and found out they do not take insurance ok fair enough I would pay the 90$. When I arrived (early)I saw office people behind plexiglass. I sat down. Somebody approached me, and I asked if I can fill out the insurance forms. They proceeded to tell me that they emailed it to me. I checked my email and I didn’t have them. My counselor came out and for about 50 minutes I spilled my God about my past. She proceeded to tell me that she really couldn’t do anything. They had a program that they could email me that because I didn’t fill out-the insurance forms. They cannot go any further what a waste of $90, I will never go back to this place. So I did find my receipt.. sorry it was 95$

This is the third time I have written a review. It appears that every time there’s a negative review, heart-to-heart finds a way to remove it off of Google. It should be obvious that a company that provides this kind of service only has this few of reviews, after providing counseling services for nearly two decades.

After going through my experience and reading negative reviews of many others, there appears to be a disconnect between the techniqes used and what a couple really needs.

First of all. I want to point out the fact that some people are truly maladaptive and there are others who just have really significant marital issues which caused them to act out. Unfortunately, Doug tends to lump everybody into the group of maladaptive and label them as addicts. Doug also has coined the term called intimacy anorexia. It is not a diagnosis supported in the DSM psychiatric literature. In fact, most psychiatric clinicians I know scoff at the diagnosis and see it as a moneymaking ploy for Doug to make a living off of thorough all of his books and counseling. I was diagnosed as an intimacy anorexic and my current therapist commented that I’m one of the most emotional people he’s ever met. It stands to reason if you’re in a relationship where your partner doesn’t love and respect you, then you will put up an emotional wall between yourself and your partner. All I needed was to be in a situation where I felt safe and trusted.

And that is the heart of the matter. What should be happening in therapy is working towards reestablishing intimacy, trust, and respect. And this is far from what happened in my experience with Doug. What happened to us was a bunch of books and awkward, meaningless exercises that never seemed to do anything in reestablishing intimacy. It also seemed to be one person playing the role of the villain and the other person playing the role of the victim; and allowing the victimization to occur over and over again for years. It took me 13 years of polygraphs to realize that the trust and respect was never going to be restored.

I want to try and be constructive here as much as possible. I do believe that there are some couples Doug’s techniques may work for. That would be a couple that is highly faith based and truly believes in forgiveness and redemption.

It’s a shame that healing never occurred and my marriage ultimately fell apart. The positive thing that came out of it was me doing many years of personal therapy and discovering self actualization and coming to the realization that nobody is the villain and nobody is the victim. We each have our roles and responsibilities for the actions that we take. I am now happy to report after going through this process of self actualization that I am now in a wonderful relationship with somebody who is also going through the same process and we live in a very loving and intimate life full of respect and trust.

Our experience has been wonderful!! Dr. Doug Weiss and h2h saved our marriage! We arrived 3 years ago, broken and headed for divorce. I felt hopeless. We flew from Maine because there is nobody local that specializes in this specific addiction.

My experience with addiction left me with little hope. However, during the very first session, I knew there WAS hope. I felt validated. For the first time, in a long time, I knew I wasn't alone. As the intensive went on, we were given many blessings to aid in recovery. I was provided with insight into my husband's reality, which not only helped heal my pain because it wasn't about me, but also allowed me to begin to forgive him. He was given the tools he needed to overcome the grips of this horrible addiction. The staff was warm and friendly, which is important during a time of intense pain. The counselors were highly skilled and compassionate.

The continuity of care is exceptional. The atmosphere is state of the art and very inviting. Even during the move they found a way to make it seamless and welcoming.

The workbooks and DVDs are instrumental in recovery, both mine and my husband's. Dr. Weiss writes with such expertise and his books speak to the heart. He obviously listened to our Lord for the calling on his life.

Today, thanks to the hard work of my husband we are closer than ever. God is at the center of all this healing. I would recommend it to anyone. In fact, I do! ā¤

We had a disclosure back in June 2022, it was awful experience that i had not envisioned as a betrayed spouse. I had heard so many great things from others I met in my ministry group.

We met Ron as our therapist, and to me it felt like he sided and protected my husband since he also is a past IA/SA.

From the beginning to signing up over the phone call to ask questions to see if this was a good fit and pay, it felt like a sham. The front staff was short and rude. When we got there we jumped right into things.

As a betrayed spouse i did not feel supported at all. We spent more time in a closed off room together watching DVD’s than even with our therapist.

I did have dealings with the office manager (whom is Weiss wife) she was cold, rude and i guess i had higher expectations. But apparently she wouldn’t know what a betrayed spouse would feel as she has never lived through it.

I express how I felt like this didn’t seem right on how things were being played out. But energy and body language doesn’t lie and I was brushed off as ā€œthis is how we do things hereā€.

While at H2H, I later called some of my friends whom attended and they were shocked to hear how we were being dealt with there.

So may missing puzzle pieces, it was disappointing. No impact letter, no information on daily’s. All the things i later learned talking to my support group we were shammed and left in the dark. It was such a choppy experience.

We came prepared and did our six months studied through Table Ministry’s and gained much knowledge to prepare from our coaches ā€œTom & Michelleā€.

I felt like i could have just paid for a polygraph with our coaches and donated to their church for them to help guide us positively in the process of healing and with our disclosure than travel from NC to CO!

We wasted so much money here! I think the only thing i got out of this was a polygraph which revealed, confirmed and validated things for me.

The women’s group therapy sessions were triggering and they were only facilitators and not real licensed therapist which had me uneasy bc the women leading those groups were still living in their anger and grief. Terrible leadership, regardless if they were in process of hours for their a AASAT certification coaching.

The facility was short staffed and this was what we paid for. We had many inappropriate and unprofessional encounters and responses. Unacceptable!

I, as the betrayed was never even evaluated before, and to me, entertaining into such a trauma situation they had no idea of my mental state. Knowing what was revealed , I could have very well harmed myself.

My concern is the limited and lack or inability to properly support the betrayed. But with all the nicks, cracks and crannies, you get what you pay for and if you want extra, it definitely will cost you here!

My advice to anyone reading this, do your homework, find a coach and yes, start the work before and research other facilities to ensure they reach a good fit and ask lots if questions. If staff is short over the phone, like here, move on!

Dr. W is the heart and creator of this program, but that doesn’t always mean the results or outcome maybe what you seek or pay. I think it also would be helpful to the facility to allow feedback on how well they felt things went. This could help improve and fix future issues like this from occurring. We could always learn from our clients/customers on their experiences to do better.

Sure, no one is perfect, things happen, were human. But I expected more considering the amount we were paying in CASH!

I believe that it is immoral to administer and interpret an MMPI with a client on a weekend group session without an established relationship with the client.

My husband and I saw Dr. Weiss 7 years ago for an intensive. It was a last ditch attempt to save our marriage after years of pornography use and betrayal by my husband. Dr. Weiss helped my husband see his worth in God's eyes and that God's grace can even cover over his continual sin of pornography use. It was a huge turning point in his recovery once he could believe in God's love for him and then my love too. He is now 7 years clean and our marriage is better than I ever could have imagined.

My husband will tell you it isn't always easy but now he has the mindset and tools to keep him on the right path.

As the spouse I felt supported and cared for as well. We are so grateful to Dr. Weiss and Heart to Heart Counseling. It was definitely worth doing the intensive.
