I've had good therapists and I've had bad therapists over the past forty plus years. I needed a new therapist this winter so I started calling around and fortunately got placed at Headlight with the best one I've had yet. He is kind, effective, intelligent and truly compassionate. I had a mental health crisis this summer and he got me in immediately to see a psychiatrist who also works with Headlight. Their coordinated care was seamless and far superior to what I'd be getting right now at the nearby teaching hospital.

I have been receiving high quality care here since 2010. They have changed brand names from Achieve to Sokya to now Headlight (which yeah it’s been 14 years you’d expect changes to happen). The quality of service, however, remains high in quality and consistently above average. The providers I have seen whether they are a psychiatric provider or a psychotherapist, are well-trained and competent. One psychiatrist, Dr. Pabatti, has been treating me for PTSD, and I cannot tell you the difference it has made in my quality of life. Every time I have called to make an appointment or leave a message, the front desk helps out swiftly. I have never had medications run out or insurance denials like i’ve experienced at other places (which is very important for continuity of care).
I am a psychologist myself so I expect a higher standard of care (especially psychiatric care) than others. My family member also goes here for med management and is happy with their provider. I highly recommend this mental health clinic. Oh and a big plus is they take most insurances. That’s hard to find.

We are a clinic of licensed mental health professionals founded by a licensed health service psychologist (HSP). We regularly refer patients to Headlight Therapists & Psychiatric Services San Diego
for the following reasons:
1. This clinic always has openings and availability
2. They take a wide variety of insurances
3. They maintain a reputation in the community for providing quality services in line with clinical best practices and evidence-based treatments.
We look forward to continue collaborating with Headlight in the future.

I reached out to Headlight in order to find an IN-PERSON therapist. I already have an online one, and I am not a huge fan, so I wanted to find an in-person one. They called me and I was able to schedule something fairly close to the date I had reached out. They emailed me a few days later and said that they had rescheduled my appointment (without contacting me) to a date that I was not available. I called them to let them know that I was not available on that date and they had my phone number wrong in their system. They then rescheduled me for a date over two weeks from the initial appointment. I finally just had my appointment and they matched me with a therapist that was fully remote. I had been very clear in all of the intake forms that I wanted an IN-PERSON therapist so I was very disappointed with my match. I do not know if Headlight has good therapists, but their intake process does not make it worth finding out.

This place is awful. I saw a psych (Randh Nemeh) who was rude to me to the point where I ended the call early. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and scheduled with nurse practitioner (Skyler Galindo) and he seemed condescending and didn’t ask me about my problem. And when I mentioned it, he proceed to tell me "well you seem to be concentrating just fine right now" completely dismissing my reasoning for contacting headlight in the first place. Are you serious!!! Who says that to a patient who is legitimately needing help with getting their life together. I can't believe how terrible the people are who "help" patients here.

So…I scheduled an appointment with a new therapist 2 months out and the DAY BEFORE, someone from the office called and said therapist wouldn't be available and I would have to go on a waitlist since they weren’t sure when I could actually get another appointment!!
Wow. That’s really great mental health support, huh?

I have had nothing but excellent experiences at Headlight Health! Through name changes and platform changes, they have maintained great customer service and amazing patient care! I see Dr. Chaitanya Pabbati, and he is wonderful! When I have needed a medication question answered or needed to reschedule an appointment, the office staff was helpful and responsive. Dr. Pabbati is always on time, professional and very present with me. He has helped me to return to my best self!

I have had nothing short of a positive experience since reaching out to Sokya a year ago! I was able to get an appointment within the same month, and Dr. Stephanie Chen has been incredibly helpful and supportive during my appointments and always schedules the next follow-up when we are meeting. I called the front desk about an insurance issue and they understood immediately what my issue was and they were direct and clear on what steps I needed to take to fix the issue. Thankful to have a reliable psychiatrist who meets virtually and enables minimal effort on my end!
