Massively problematic company.

My partner and I had been searching for quite a while for an effective couples therapist, and we finally found the right fit through Sokya Health, paired directly with us based on who we were told would take our insurance. Our therapy experience has been great! Unfortunately, after several months of regular sessions, we were informed that Sokya was actually unable to bill insurance, and was asking us to pay the $400 per session out of pocket!! They then said “don’t worry, it should all work out.” No word for over a month, and then at the very last minute before our session today we were informed that we were in fact not covered. They had not informed our therapist of this fact, so she was just as blind sided as us.
This is so unprofessional and harmful to tell us that we were covered, and then wait months after we built a relationship with this therapist to tell us that we actually owed thousands of dollars!!
We are awaiting leadership to resolve this issue.
