Michael Gunters style of marriage counseling put me in further danger with my abusive ex. He refused to allow me to say anything or talk about anything from the past. His methodology was that we were only moving forward, not talking about the past. He would literally stop me from speaking. He actually said, “I am going to fix this for you.” Without even letting me speak at all.
This caused my ex to constantly say Michael Gunter said….over and over. I wound up having to flee with my children and stay in a shelter for a few months to get away. This man should not be a therapist.
