My son is taking archery classes at Gryphon. He has had great experiences with the coaches and continues to improve his skills. After trying a handful of different sports he says he found one that fits him best - archery! Thank you to all the coaches who have created a positive atmosphere and high quality instruction. Every student seems to get the individual technique correction and encouragement they need to become better archers.

What wonderful experiences we had with both Fencing and Archery camps this summer! Introductory classes are packed with basic drills on skills through games and disciplines. Coaches are friendly but firm; acknowledging and attending to the campers to encourage cooperation and participation.
Fencing Camp: Prepare for muscle soreness if your little ones haven’t been active. He came home demonstrating the skills he learned with an alternative (curtain rod) to his mom.
Archery Camp: Improvements observed day by day. Got our bow and arrow to practice in the backyard.

My daughter Zena has been going here for about 2 months now. I've waited a bit before writing a review considering I wanted my daughter to experience different class times, groups of kids, and all coaches as well. 1st off I'll start out saying my daughter doesn't do fencing, but does Archery. She is 4 on the cusp of 5years old and has a natural instinct and passion for archery. Now in reality being so young her attention span and listening skills aren't always prompt and orderly. It takes patients and vigilance to coach not only her but to give other children attention as well. I enjoy all the coaches, with me they are all very communitive and friendly, with Zena each has a different relationship and makes her feel comfortable and focused. She has shown so much progress and love for the sport we look forward to continuing here at Gryphon! If your looking for a family orientated fun place to take yourself or your children this is the place. I sit in the parent section with myself and my boxer but their are parents that sign up with their kids and adults that do classed too. Defintely worth a try!

My 2 boys (12 & 13) LOVE their fencing lessons! They have been attending classes once to twice a week for about three months now. Works great with our Homeschool Charter. I would recommend this class to all young men & any ladies with an interest. Instructors are kind, knowledgable & professional. The owner is very personable & easy to work with. Give it a try.

Wonderful time for all! I brought a group of tweens and little ones here for archery and fencing lessons over the summer. The instructors were so great with all the ages. The facility was impressive and safe. Highly recommend this fun, exciting, learning adventure for anyone! Kids all had a blast!

I love this studio. My son attended the Little Jedi class and loved it. This is the only studio I found in the area to offer classes to children under 7. The Little Jedi complete drills and play games that reinforce fencing fundamentals. The Little Jedi have the opportunity to wear a helmet, chest plate, and work with the saber! The young ones work in a separate protected and open space and are able to see the older (7/8 and up) more experienced students workout. It is a great way to build upon a small child's initial interest that introduces and develops basic skills instead of just playing games. The studio is clean and the instructors seem to really love fencing and it shows in their teaching. I highly recommend this studio.

We have been with GFC for nearly six years - started with our then five year old son - and can't say enough how grateful we are for the dedication of the coaches and the supportive, welcoming community at our club. My husband began fencing about two years ago as well... GFC is great for both adults and youth fencers (an awesome way for parents and their kids to learn a sport and workout together!) at any stage in their training. Additionally, having now traveled to other clubs for competitions, I can say that, without question, Gryphon has some of the most outstanding equipment/scoring technology around!

My son is taking fencing summer camp here and when he didn't want me to leave,I thought it wasn't going to be for him. However, the coaches and staff made it so light hearted and fun that he was looking forward to the next day by the end of class! He was then worried that he only had 4 more days left! That is pretty remarkable. Coach Eric is every bit as amazing as the other reviewers have described. After reading his bio, I asked for his advice on another sport related issue and he took the time out to give me his thoughts even though I'm sure he had a million other things to tend to. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him and coach Cory out there teaching and encouraging the kids on! Caught myself laughing out loud at their humor! Btw, there is a fantastic clean Waiting area and the center was nice and cool. There even is a little play area for the toddlers! I'm looking forward to sending my kids here after camp week.
