Grant Lakes...worthy of a stop. Highly recommend a detour from the Ten Lakes trail if you are heading that direction. Grant Lakes is very picturesque and worth a night. Most will overlook this little gem because it takes a bout 1.2 miles from the Ten Lakes junction east and then back. It's worth the extra 2.4 miles. The beginning of the trail from Tioga Rd starts a steady climb and doesn't stop until you reach the junction. Roughly 4.9 miles from the Ten lakes / Yosemite Creek trail heads area. I would consider this hike at the low end of strenuous. If you like to fish you won't be disappointed catching Rainbow after Rainbow ☮️

Gorgeous lake with a small island in the middle. There's a couple of campsites around the lake and on the granite overlooking the lake. The water is cool and refreshing and there are fish. Definitely worth the hike out. I did it as part of a 3 day 2 night loop around the ten lakes basin.
