If you are planning on taking the train to the Grand Canyon you must stay at the Hotel. We purchased a package deal for two nights, updated trains seats. This included all food at the Fred Harvey's buffet for all breakfast and dinners for our stay. Makes your stay relaxing that you don't have to worry about where to get food. Hotel was super clean, rooms the same. Indoor pool is available. Train ride is a destination ride. What I mean is the landscape of Arizona here is all the same. Beautiful but it does not change until you get close to the canyon. I would recommend upgrading your seats, we sat in the upper observation seats. Nice and comfortable and the car provided free water, soda's and assorted treats and pastries. There was also a bar area where you could purchase drinks if needed. Live entertainment was supplied along with a very knowledgeable host for your car. Overall it was a fantastic adventure.

From check-in the leaving the train ride to go home the entire day-cation was awesome. We loved the set up of the whole hotel, very calming and relaxing. The train was an incredible experience capped off with a chance to spend a few hours at the Grand Canyon and even take bus tours if you would like.

The Grand Canyon Railroad experience was wonderful. I hotel was clean and beautifully decorated for the season and the employees were friendly and helpful. The train ride to the canyon was fun and informational and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout our time on the train. We enjoyed the bus tour and buffet upon arrival at the canyon and were helped with a smile throughout our entire stay whenever we had questions or requests.

We came here for the Polar Express package that they offer, and it is an experience of a lifetime. The place is beautiful. It's as if I stepped back in time. The hotel is beautiful and cozy. The service is impeccable, and the train ride is amazing. They made it feel like we were in the movie. The staff are wonderful, very energetic and great with the kids. The kids were excited to go to the Northpole and meet Santa Claus. Thank you for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back again.

We were on our way home from Utah and we enjoy the mountain, small town vibe of Williams so we stopped for one night. We hadn't ever stayed here so we thought we'd give it a try. The hotel is nice, the room was clean but basic. In our opinion, the price in October of $180/nt was a bit pricey. There are two restaurants on site which was a nice convenience but the town itself has some great restaurants and only a short walk away, for most able bodied people. We ate at Spenser's for dinner but it's a bit pricey. However I do have to rave about Miguel, our server, he was excellent and so friendly! We had the breakfast buffet at Fred Harvey's and it was pretty good for $38. The choices of hot oatmeal, yogurt with sides, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns, french toast, pancakes & an omelette bar were sufficient for variety! Another rave, Angie checked us in at the restaurant, she was so friendly with a side dose of humor! Tiffany was our table hostess and again, so friendly and and excellent server! The restaurant was about ready to close and we ended up having some great conversation with both of them. Whoever does the hiring for the restaurant has great judgment of character and chose well with these two kind ladies! We would come back & stay if the price was a bit less. Considering that most people are staying here to ride the train to the Grand Canyon, the hotel price is a bit steep along with the train trip. We didn't do the train trip this time around.

This hotel was a let down based on what we expected. If you are going there for the Polar Express train ride, then maybe its worth it. We were enroute to Vegas from Grand Canyon so we stayed here based on the reviews.

The rooms were just okay! Too small and very average for the price we paid.

The service was awful...the check in lines were so long and we had to wait for 45 mins just to check in.

The location was great, near the down town so lots of eating options and shops!

This was our second trip to the Grand Canyon. The railroad is a relaxing, enjoyable way to get out to the Canyon. Be warned that the rail depot is too far from the South Rim Center to get there and back in the time alloted between trains, unless you are staying at the Canyon overnight. ||We really enjoyed this trip and the Railroad Hotel was a great stress free way to stay and travel.||I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants that something extra.
