I am very surprised of any negative reviews at Grace Counseling. Dr. Kragt has helped me get thru a very traumatic relationship and divorce. He has gone above and beyond to make time available, answer my emails, and been very flexible. The staff is always friendly and supportive. I don’t think I can ever leave because Grace Counseling feels too much like family.

Our family retained Michael Kragt to counsel our child after a traumatic event and nearly lost our child due to Michael Kragt's incompetence and profound lack of concern. Following several months of intensive counseling with Michael Kragt, our child became suicidal. We immediately called the Grace Counseling office; Michael Kragt was in session, and we left a message. We did not receive a callback. We called again the following morning. The staff informed us they conveyed to Michael Kragt that our child was struggling with thoughts of suicide and that they would yet again share our concerns. It was days before Michael Kragt called us back, at which time he showed no concern, no compassion, and frankly, no interest. Michael Kragt spoke to us as though he was utterly disconnected from the care of our child; he offered us no guidance and did not even take the time to talk with our child before hanging up the phone. We never heard from Michael Kragt again, but we did receive calls from his staff several weeks later, informing us that Michael Kragt insisted we schedule more therapy appointments with him for our child. Our well-paying insurance appears to have far more worth to Michael Kragt than the well-being of our child.

As well-connected Christian parents serving in ministry to youth, we would not recommend Michael Kragt or his services.

I'm surprised about the couple negative reviews. Every person has their own experience, but mine and my familes have been great.

They have a large selection of different counselors depending on your needs and financial abilities. I have had great luck with all of the therapists I have seen.

Finding the right therapist can be really difficult, but also expensive. Grace Counseling has been so accommodating and understanding to offer a handful of different therpaist until I found the one that really fit with me. Although I have liked them all.

My brother and his wife also come in for individual and couples counseling. They have noticed big changes in their marriage and as individuals.

I would highly recommend Grace to others.
Thanks Grace!

I went to 2 appointments here after my divorce and suicidal thoughts.

They Didn’t take Cigna. So I had to pay full price.

First visit, M listened and was very sympathetic for me. Said he has had other clients like me and was able to help them. Gave me a false sence of calm.

2nd visit, he came out to get me 10 minutes late, ended 5 minutes early. So I paid out of pocket for only 45 mins instead of an hour.
I did most of the talking. I also came up with a plan for the week. So what did M do? He basically just listened to me for $200 an hour.

I never went back.

Grace Counseling has been a safe harbor for me when the squalls in life have come up -- raising happy and healthy teens, navigating fraught relationships with family of origin, and strengthening our marriage.

I so appreciate that Grace provides the full array of family services for whatever need has arisen in my life over the years. The atmosphere has always been warm, welcoming, and kind with a keen eye toward caring and serving their clients.

Thank you for being there for me, us, and our community.

I have met with two different counselors, Dr. Ballard and Dr. Kragt, on two different issues and both have been excellent. Both were very compassionate and understanding and helped me navigate some difficult relationship issues.

In my years of referring people I care for there has never been a time when I had any regrets. Their counselors are not only qualified they are called to be counselors who care about hurting people and strive to be the best help possible in their healing.

Mental health has become more and more important in the past few years, perhaps now, because of the pandemic, it's less taboo to talk about. Grace Counseling provides clients a safe place to not only speak about but also BE themselves. Counselors build a genuine, trusting and at times, lasting relationship with clients to ensure that at the conclusion of therapy, clients continue to thrive.
