GoldStar is full of people who *care* about the participants/clients there. The negative reviews due to them closing were not necessary - because at the end of the day GLO is still doing what they have wanted to do from day 1 - support individuals with different needs.
Yes, things could have been done differently when it came to the closing/reopening and the communication to participants/families/staff members but you live and learn and continue to move forward which is all they’re trying to do.
As someone who has worked there previously, and experienced the ups and downs, highs and lows and overall day to day, I would still recommend GLO to people. When you take your loved one to a company like GLO, you hope that they will be supported, cared for and overall treated with respect - GoldStar does just that and even then some.

As a parent of a client, I truly am thankful for the staff at Goldstar Learning Options. This is the only place that there is zero judgment regarding my daughter. She is so happy at GLO.
The staff is like family for us. Always compassionate, welcoming and happy to see us when we walk in.

We LOVE GLO!
The staff are always welcoming and so very supportive to not only my child but our family too! We've been with GLO for around 2 years and I wouldn't change anything. It's nice to be able to breathe knowing I can trust them. Knowing my daughter is safe and having a great time, while also getting her services. We appreciate you all so very much! My daughter is finally potty trained, can talk, understands emotions more, and overall has improved tremendously with GLO!

After many years of being opened, they closed their doors, leaving clients stranded with no day program. Multiple attempts to contact owner with NO response l.
They re-opened their doors after a month and a half, but would not take back certain clients. I would be extremely cautious if you’re considering this program.

Staff was neglected and mistreated. The staff work very hard to be neglected and not rewarded is so disappointed. It directly affects how they treat their clients. 🙁
