We found Front Range K9 after running into some pretty significant behavior problems with our pittie/aussie/cattle dog supermutt, Styx. We fell in love with his cuteness and playfulness at the shelter, but truthfully did not have enough information about his breeds and background to be successful with him.

At first he was completely unable to walk nicely on a leash, was extremely reactive even seeing another dog from a distance (jumping, crying, pulling), and had little consistency with basic obedience. After struggling through youtube training videos at home with only minimal progress, we sought out professionals and are SO grateful that we chose Front Range K9. Specifically, we've loved working with Jordan, but Meg was great as well when we took a class with her.

After working on problem solving and obedience, we have a completely different dog. We have the confidence and tools to take him almost anywhere we need to now. Our dream was to be able to sit at our neighborhood brewery with him which seemed like an impossible goal, but now is no problem. When we are out on walks these days, he's often better behaved than many of the other dogs we see. Most importantly, he just seems so much happier and calmer (even though he is still a huge spaz <3). We have plenty more to learn, but our relationship is already much better than I ever could have hoped. Styx has learned a lot, and we have learned even more as owners. Can not say enough good things!

We love Front Range K9 Academy! They really helped showed us on how to train out puppy! Can wait for the sling to start the next set of training classes!
The trainers were amazing and also provided a few extra tips for each specific dog in the group classes.

Front Range K9 was a game changer for our four year old Boxer mix with big feelings 🙂 He is a boundary pusher, pulled on the leash and had become reactive to other dogs while on leash. The mix of classroom and homework was good and we were able to establish a great foundation for him. Ultimately, we ended up deciding to take things a step further after the very last class and try a prong collar because he was still struggling with staying attentive to us in challenging situations. I was hesitant at first but Front Range K9 showed us the proper use and educated us on it and that was the ultimate tool that had the biggest impact on top of the foundational training. I appreciate that they are open to various tools and combinations to find the best result for each dog. Walks are no longer stressful and in fact, enjoyable!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Front Range K9 Academy! We worked with Jordan on Basic Obedience and Off-Leash Remote Collar training, and Meg for Nosework training for our puppy, Winnie. Both trainers were not only highly attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable.

I cannot say enough good things about this canine program. . I worked with Meg with a four year old border collie that had been living in someone’s bathroom for her whole life. She had no skills at all. Now she lives comfortably, is more relaxed, has more fun and can do all the things you hope a dog can do. (Sit, stay, heal, come, etc) Before this class, she was afraid of the wind. I drove an hour each way just to take this class with my dog and it was worth it. If you want to train with your dog, where the instructor teaches you how to work with your dog and not just take over, This is the class for you.

We had an awesome time at Front Range K9 Academy! My rescue pup, was a very shy and unsure girl. After working with Jordan she has really come out of her shell and gained confidence! Meg was amazing and easy to work with. So incredibly knowledgeable with training for dogs. My bud Louie had some serious obedience issues and he's night and day after the training with Meg. Reasonable pricing too. Highly recommend!
