Beautiful place, very quiet, some trees could use some trimming though.

I love this place. I have so much fun here, a lot because of the owners. The scenery is beautiful all around McCloud and there is a lot to do. Nice golf course close by, etc. Of course I am partial to the RC airport on the grounds. The sites are very peaceful and the area is quiet. Bob and Maylon could not treat us any nicer! Very good and generous people. There is a lot of nice places to walk. Great for short or long walks. Year after year it doesn't change. Bob always comes to the field and we fly our toys. I always feel very welcome here and more like a friend than a guest. Thanks Bob and Maylon for a great time!

Bob Friday is a kind and knowledgeable man and if you want to talk fly fishing he’s more than willing. I stumbled upon this property once a few years back while on a fishing trip through various areas in and around the Shasta-Trinity NF, and I will say that we were treated like family. I will always remember this place and I have a sticker inside my truck.

This place is awesome if you want to get away… And by get away I mean….no internet, hardly any phone service, and serious darkness. I was skeptical about booking this place after reading a previous review from a woman complaint about the owner Maylon. Her quote….May like the month and green like the lawn… She was quite stunning to say the least. She drove me around the property for 45 minutes while my husband set up camp. I am not sure if that person (Sandy McFarlin) hit her on a bad day or it just might have not been the right place for her but I am glad I decided to ignore the comment. So I found there is a beautiful lake near by, waterfalls, good food and good people. Pets allowed and welcome. Kids might have a hard time if they need their tablet or social media. I could text but not send photos or search for much. Full hookup, big spacious RV spaces, and beautiful scenery. I give it 5 stars.

Relatives who are regulars at Friday's RV Retreat invited us up over Memorial Day weekend and we are so glad they did. We booked only about a week before arriving and Bob and Maylon went out of their way to measure the last remaining site to make sure our trailer could fit. The grounds are wooded and many of the sites have shrubbery in between them so they feel very private. This is important to us, we don't like parking lot type campgrounds. Each site has full hookups and an area for sitting around the campfire ring and a picnic table. While there are not cement pads or grass, the pine needles make a nice carpet and so it does not feel like you are living in dust and dirt. Nice paved roads throughout the campground.||||The RV Retreat is six miles outside of the town of McCloud so it is very quiet, you are staying in the middle of the forest. Views of the meadows, mountains, and night sky are spectacular. This is a fairly small park and family owned and operated, so people are friendly and there were no loud parties, even on a holiday weekend. We did not use the showers, laundry, or other facilities so cannot comment on those. ||||We would definitely stay again and are in fact planning a return trip later this summer.

The park is a beautiful place. Nice size spots. Needs some work on the electric boxes and hook ups. But the very worst of all is the woman who owns and runs the park. She really needs to work on her people skills. We weren't even out of the truck and she is screaming ," who's going to pay me?" This is the second time in two weeks that we had stayed there, the first time she was very short with us. We travel alot and stay in RV parks and this one we will never stay at again!!!!

We have been to Friday's RV Retreat several times now and the owners Bob and Maylon could not have treated us better than they did. The scenery was beautiful and the space and surroundings were beautiful. There is plenty of places to walk, ponds, a great golf course close by and Bob actually has a paved Radio Control Airstrip on the property. I really enjoyed flying my model airplanes. Bob actually came out and took pictures of my airplanes flying by with Mount Shasta in the background. Looks like something in an advertisement. We plan on traveling some but Friday's will always be one of our favorites. We were made right at home and felt like we were staying with friends. Well now I guess we are. I hope writing a nice review somehow says thanks for the hospitality.

My husband and I went to Friday's RV Retreat for his birthday this year as my hubbie loves to fly remote control airplane. Bob and Maylon who are the owners are wonderful, very helpful, and have an Oasis on the land. We enjoyed ourselves, flew airplanes, hiked all over, went to the reservoir, shopped the little stores and ate out in McCloud. Cute place. We will go again.
