My first time arrived at the Frankfurt Airport. It's a very BIG airport , different buildings named as A, B, C, D, E , F .....you need to take sky train if you need to take connecting flight ! You have to walk very long way. Unlike the airports in Hong Kong & Japan, they don't have small cart for travellers to carry bags & hand carries. Also, I think it's a rather old airport, the facilities of the airport are not that updated , compare with the Toronto Pearson Airport , the Singapore Airport and the Tokyo Narita Airport , this can't be graded as a modernized airport , Happy to see that the shops and the restaurants are big and bright....... Hope I can see some improvements in my next visit.

This is a very well organized and direct airport. The signs are straightforward, it is easily navigable, and there are plenty of workers around to help you find something if you are struggling. Additionally, this airport has been very clean from what I have seen.

My experience at Frankfurt Airport was a bit unpleasant today because of the security check when I was stopped for additional tests and checked after my backpack was scanned and the test of it was completed. Two policemen asked me if I had my passport. Then I was asked where I was going. Later, they scanned my passport and started taking out all my belongings. Of course, there was nothing illegal in my backpack, but I felt embarrassed when they took out my underwear, etc. When they found a packet with fruit with mangoes, the apple and pomegranate, they looked at me and wished me a good flight. I asked them why they stopped me because no one ever stopped carrying fruit. They explained that it depended on the country. In Germany, they do this saying that fruit in the plastic bag, their mass, composition, and shape of which have the appearance of an explosive devices. The rest of my experience was good because Frankfurt Airport has cosy zones for rest, the playground for children, and lots of various shops and places to eat and drink.

The design is straightforward and well-organized, making check-in and preparing for the gate a breeze. Easy access between terminal 1 and terminal 2 via tram and bus adds to the convenience. The shopping experience was delightful, and the Christmas decorations were truly impressive. ☃️

Good facilities but stairs are to be replaced by automated stairs. Wash rooms are maintained very well

Once I forgot my Passport in a cafe and already checked in and the staff patiently listened to my concern and helped to retrieve it successfully in a few minutes. Always thumbs up ?
