I have nothing good to say. This place takes advantage of those who are usually already in a terrible situation. I was put with a therapist who wasn’t a provider under my insurance after I was told they took my insurance. They do- but the therapist I was assigned to was new, and I ended up paying out of pocket for every useless session. All the time they promised that they would back file when she became a provider for the ins. They never did.
The therapist laid out a plan for reunification with my son who quit speaking to me during the divorce. After a few useless sessions, she halted the therapy and said that my ex and I needed to go to another therapist for co-parenting counseling, then come back to her to resume. I went, my ex did not. She shut down everything and would not move forward. She cared nothing about the relationship with my son and me. She would not see us until we did the co-parenting counseling. Well, my ex never went and that worked in his favor. Nothing was done to help my son deal with his feelings.
Lastly, I asked her to speak in court as an impartial witness. I paid $600 for that. I was coerced into settling, and asked if I could get any of the money refunded. I was told that they, unfortunately, could not.
I feel like I was used and abused by The Divorce Resource Center of GA. I do not recommend them to anyone. They care more about your money than they do about you.

I am so grateful that The Divorce Resource Center of Georgia is available and expanding throughout the state. They not only help meet the need of an overflow of people needing therapy for general concerns, but are one of very few centers equipped to help whole families through some of the very hardest situations involving divorce. I often recommend them to families needing their services who report back that their staff are highly knowledgeable, warm, and effective.

I am writing a 5-star review after participating this summer in one of the founder's Consultation Groups for professionals. The founder/facilitator was exceptionally knowledgeable and responsive to questions. It was a superb experience to have the opportunity to work with a specialist.

I’ve known the key figure head at this facility my whole life, and they are the best kind of people to know. They endured a traumatic time and have a heart to help, and advocate for the kids. This should be the core of any and all agencies dealing with divorce, paternity, child support, etc.

And to Elizabeth P- the fact the mother was cut off and could throw such a tirade on Google shows a lot about you. I’d dig deep, and figure out where the real issue lies. I’m guessing it’s closer to home than you want to admit.
