One of the best clinics I've ever been to I take my kids there. Everyone in women's health is very friendly and helpful. I go there for orthopedics. And they are also very friendly and helpful. They make sure to take care of you. No matter what your problem is and pediatrics happens to be one of my favorite places to take my kids. The girls there in the office are amazing and they're very funny and kind and very understanding. My family loves you all. Thank you for all your help in our medical needs.

Got here with a sick six year old at 2:30 on a Saturday and there were literally three people waiting. Two and a half hours later we are sitting in the ER waiting room by ourselves. Nobody else has been in the waiting for over a half hour. I think maybe they forgot about us. 2 hours and 45 minutes, still no patients, no nurses, no anyone, just us waiting.

Edit: My second visit to Fairchild went soooo much better. It was the best ER experience ever. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Registration, triage and the time with the doctor... 15 minutes. Granted, nobody else was there but still, pretty awesome.

not much..put wrong ball joint in a hip that was shattered, albeit ICU saved his life most likely.. that said they told him he had lung cancer & shipped him off to providence in oregon ...they redid his bad surgery and also confirmed a non cancer dx. smh...im concerned my daughter won't get her medical addressed. her OBGYN has a bad rep.. so off to Oregon instead..which sucks but cancer isn't something we spout off about to patients in my world ..Do better please

A) Fairchild price gouges. Get the price before you agree to anything if you don't have insurance or have a high deductible. They charge AT LEAST 3 times more for any sort of imaging than facilities in Medford and Redding. You can drive to Redding, eat out at a nice restaurant, get a hotel room and get your basic ultrasound and STILL save $$$ over having it done at Fairchild.
B) They make lots of billing "errors" (in their favor, of course).
C) Did you notice how Fairchild tells the one star review people to contact their Risk Management dept? If you call the number, no one picks up, and no one will ever call you back if you leave a message. Same for the billing department.
D) If you suspect a doctor is ordering an unnecessary surgery, get a 2nd opinion - because there is a good chance you are right.
E) They will never do better if you don't file your complaints with the CA Dept of Public Health

Worst exam of my life. The notes entered in my chart were completely false, maybe someone else's? I filed the forms to get it amended and received a letter they determined the notes were correct and would not change them. For example, they noted my father was an alcoholic. No idea where that came from, and not true. Others have shared similar experience.

Brother in law had massive chest pains . They did x ray gave him a inhaler and sent home. He went to medford they did tests and found huge blood clots in lung. They couldnt even do an ekg because they said no who does this test works on the weekend at fairchild . Just one more horror story about this circus!!!!

I will start off with saying they are probably doing the best they can with the staff that they have... That said, let's get to this review.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility to anyone.

Pros: None

Cons:

1) New patients see nurses, not doctors. I will be talking to my insurance provider about this one.

2) Refused to x-ray a fairly bad arm injury, was told to "wait and see" - serious what the heck!? If a ligament or something needs to be repaired, time from injury the repair really matters. A doctor would have known this... a nurse should have.

3) Refused to honor prescriptions from my previous hospital. They wanted to try it their way. At this point, I already knew I was not coming back. I cannot express enough how dangerous that philosophy is.

4) Got 1 of the prescriptions they did honor incorrect. Again incredibly dangerous, reckless and inexcusable.

Final grade: F.

If you have NO other option, my condolences. It is worth driving a extra hour or two for quality care. This place lived up to its previous reviews.

I've had good experiences with Doctors and care there. What is especially great is, unlike city hospitals and clinics I have always been seen right away with hardly any waiting time, even in the ER. This community likes to complain a lot about Fairchild but really, I've had good care and kindly treatment too.
