The gains and benefits are both immediate and long term certainly for the participating students and I dare say for the mentors as well. To say it is rewarding is to only touch on its impact. I've had such a wonderful experience volunteering with Everybody Wins! Iowa over the years, and actually got the chance to mentor and read with a pair of brothers. Watching both boys grow in their confidence for reading and school in general over the four years I read with them was so exciting and rewarding. I highly recommend everyone volunteer with Everybody Wins! Iowa, especially if you're looking for an opportunity where it's easy to see what a direct benefit your volunteering has in our local communities.

I can't recommend getting involved with Everybody Wins! Iowa enough! I've been a reading mentor for over 10 years and love the opportunity to share my love of reading with students. It's an easy way to have a huge impact in our community. The kids in the program are so excited to have one-on-one attention and someone to show up just for them each week. It's been a very rewarding experience for me.

I love volunteering with Everybody Wins! Iowa because it's such an easy way to give my time. Reading is a personal passion, and to be able to share that with a student is incredibly rewarding. Plus, I can volunteer over my lunch break so there is no evening or weekend commitment, unless you volunteer for special events, which I also highly recommend.

Everybody Wins is a fantastic organization and an easy way to get involved in the Des Moines community. Volunteering can be done over your lunch hour, once a week. It's a small time commitment, but makes a big impact on the student you mentor!

Everybody Wins! Iowa is a non-profit youth literacy organization. I've been a mentor for a few years and to see a child's face light up when you read a story or they read to you is priceless! I can't say enough good about what this organization does for our youth, especially during times like these.

I can't say enough about how great this program is. My very first contact was professional and excellent follow through with excellent training. I absolutely love my time once a week with my 1st grader. As a degreed El Ed teacher this program is tops. Our leader Lisa is so supportive and organized - during these tough times always keeps us informed. Thank you.
