Definitely a great therapy group !! I definitely recommend!! You might have some bumps in the road but overall I learned so much about myself & genuinely loved the therapist I had ! I will miss the place deeply but I believe I’m ready to be a better me in life now .

Ameila needs to be placed on leave and administratively reviewed.

What else can you say? When someone is put into a position with licensure and control over disincentivized citizens, then lies and commits fraud in that position, what should the people do?

As the victim in a particular case, my interaction with Ameila was a brief phone call from her office to me. After a long-winded diatribe peppered with small white lies about the case details, she was rude about the fact that I wasn’t interested in asking any follow up questions, or talking to her further. This place needs to do something about this person, and I urge anyone who interacts with this person to exercise their rights to report bad actors. After all, a counselor should be able to uphold our civil duty to be honest in a professional capacity. Happy to re-review if there is some obvious change in personnel. You just can’t have active liars working in our rehabilitation system(s) - we can all do better!

Unfortunately, Everest Counseling LLC does not work with victims in the system, but perpetrators. If you are the victim in a case, we are happy to try to point you to the right direction for support, but are unable to be that support.

You lie in the public domain, you lie to the justice system, you lie about your business dealings day-to-day.

This organization is defunct and requires legal investigation.
You absolutely did call me in reference to a specific case, you absolutely do discuss details of the case with victims, even in the case of prospective clients, ones which aren't enrolled in your program in any meaningful way. Violating every single rule you claim to be there to uphold.

I was referred to Everest Counseling by the courts and paid all the fees I had to before I could even attend. Red flag #1. Upon arriving and filling out paperwork, I then had a 5 minute "memory" exam of sorts to see if I was coherent and understood what I was doing. After that I was supposed to sign a "drug free" form but I am a medical cannabis patient so I informed Ameila Smith that I am a legal medical cannabis patient so I can't sign that form. She then told me that I would need to see a "real" doctor to sign a Medical cannabis attestation form. I informed her that Dr. Andrew Hong IS a REAL Dr who studied for decades to receive his MD License from the State Medical board. He just happens to also be licensed to prescribe medical cannabis. It wasn't enough for her and she wanted me to see another Primary care provider to sign a medical cannabis attestation form. I had my court review on Jan 15/2025 and the Court ordered that Everest Counseling allow me to take my classes without seeing a PCP because I already saw a Medical DR and I need the classes asap. The court did not want me to continue to jump unnecessary hoops. I informed Amelia about the court order so I can begin classes because I already paid her and she instead decided to disenroll me and told me to go to a different location. I asked her for a refund as I paid her but she says Im not entitled to one.

If you are on Probation and need counseling, go to a different one that actually wants to help you.
