Elk Mountain is the way to go! Andy was our guide and he was awesome! The company is really easy to work with and they make it very clear what you’re getting yourself into before you get there. They do well at accommodating for any needs you have and they provide good gear to keep you safe and warm in the freezing water! I would highly recommend using them for your next rafting adventure, I know I will!

This rafting expedition is amazing! It has incredible views and excellent staff. Five stars for sure! Our guide Andy was excellent, fun, a great teacher, and engaging. Nine miles of class III rapids and lots of laughs in between. I would highly recommend this adventure.

One of the best experiences ever!! Our guide Stuart and the rest of the crew that went were amazing and such a vibe. We hit the upper roaring fork and it was perfect for my first time rafting but definitely gonna hit up slaughterhouse on my next visit. Thank you guys!!!

We did two rafting trips last week with Elk Mountain and they were brilliant!! Carter took us on the Upper Roaring Fork, he was great fun and taught us a lot about the river (ask him about the albino gophers). We did Slaughterhouse the following week with Curtis, who was incredibly skilled and experienced. They are a small outfit so the trips feel very personalized and tailored, with beers, chips and photos all included, even during locals week! We had a ball and I would highly recommend EME!!

My girlfriend and I are in Aspen for vacation and wanted to try something new and adventurous. My girlfriend did whitewater rafting with Elk Mountain Expeditions years ago. When we thought about going fly fishing we immediately thought of them. Our guide Charlie was incredible!! Great teacher, great sense of humor and put us on our first fly fishing fish!!! Hours later and we are still smiling about the day we had. Highly recommend. We will definitely do this again and of course be requesting Charlie once more!

My daughter and I had the most amazing time in our white water rafting adventure, and all thanks to Elk Mountain Expeditions. Curtis was our guide (by the way, he is also currently in the USA Rafting Team!), and he was beyond incredible, guiding us as to how to navigate the river, what to do and when so that we could accomplish what was needed. We felt so taken care of, while still having a ton of fun doing this super adventurous class IV water rafting.
I cannot recommend them enough. They gave us FREE photos of this adventure (seriously, unheard of), and I was able to end this great afternoon with a beer 🙂

We had an absolute blast on Slaughterhouse Falls! Our guide was Curtis and he did a great job bringing the stoke on some amazing Class 4 rapids. The route was a good balance of rapids and moments to rest but didn’t have long stretches of slow sections like I’ve had before on other white water rafting experiences. Before we were even done we were talking about coming back again next summer!
