Interview after entrance test was TERRIBLE. Literal waste of well over half a year of my time spent waiting. Marcus informed me that I should mention my experience as an electrician to the all important make-or-break “What Makes You A Good Fit For This Apprentice Opportunity” question. I mention a story related to what got me into wanting to be a certified electrician, and I was told I don’t have TWO YEARS of experience so I should walk two blocks up to the local IBEW chapter and work there for a while. Not only that but their local IBEW chapter prioritizes journeyman and the experienced and will have you waste your money on gas and time spent waiting for job bids only to offer said jobs to their those whom they’ve favorited; their system is flawed and broken. What a joke, this is a tradesmen school, why on gods green earth would anyone need 2 years on the books as an electrician to become AN APPRENTICE-STUDENT ELECTRICIAN. What an utterly senseless notion, what entry-level apprentice/student has 2 years worth of experience in any field whatsoever; That level of experience entirely contradicts the title of apprentice/student. The staff was rude, condescending and clearly the hiring process was not merit based, it was based on connections and sucking up to those infantile clowns. I cannot imagine more negative aspects to something that should be a simple process. On top of all this Marcus further wasted my time by suggesting 3 alternate companies I should apply to, “they’re all looking to hire entry-level electricians” he said. Not a single company he suggested was hiring entry-level electricians. Beyond that, I informed Marcus I would likely be pursuing a career in law enforcement due to the hiring process being more straightforward, based on physical attributes and merit, he scoffed at the suggestion and furthermore insulted law enforcement officers and their career choice altogether. Yeah 3-6 months in the police academy compared to four years strung out at this miserable dump, I know which choice I’d make. Four years of anyones time and dedication to pursuing the career path they’re “offering” is a joke, he should have redirected his mockery into a mirror. This establishment deserves multiple negative stars, it is THE WORST.
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRAP AND EXPECT A SURE THING, YOU WILL WASTE MONTHS TO YEARS OF YOUR TIME ONLY TO BE ENTIRELY LET DOWN.

The best decision I've ever made in my life. The Union changed my life. It was well worth going through the apprenticeship.

If your high-school transcript doesn't have the word algebra in it don't bother cause they'll just send you out the door you came in. For example Integrated math meaning "Traditionally, high school mathematics in the United States has been taught in the sequence of Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Integrated mathematics re-imagines these courses as Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3, where algebraic, geometric, and statistical thinking are embedded throughout all three courses." "Veteran friendly" sure doesn't feel like it. The staff could honestly care less if you go there or not cause they're still getting there paycheck @ the end of the day. If you got any questions for them they'll just direct you to there website instead of answering any questions you may have. If you get accepted congrats to you this is just my experience.

Great place to learn or work. School helps educate students how to be the best Electricians in the industry. It is structured to provide the necessary education requirements for their state license examinations. Teachers have a positive environment to work in with senior staff that cares and supports to ensure teachers have what they need to succeed. They have many course options including renewable energy, low voltage sound/Fire Alarm/tele-data AV/line voltage of 120v and greater.

Don’t fall for what they say on the site it’s not all true. All the tests preps they have for you to practice don’t help at all. Most of the test is not even on what they give on the preps so what’s the point of giving out something that won’t help? When I applied the ladies that helped me out with my application had a very rude attitude. They have you waiting for months without exacts dates on when will be your test or interview. They made me wait 3 months just to notify me when I would have my test taken. While taken my test the conditions in that room were crazy no ac with only 2 fans for like 30 guys talking the test, you could imagine how bad it was in there. I wasted half a year thinking this school would be the right choose. Don't be like me and waste your time. Unacceptable from point of view don’t waste your time here and try something else! If I could give these school a 0/5 I would,I do not recommend this school to anyone.

walking to get information for veterans benefits, the receptionist asked me for DD214, and some other documents. when I ask what about VA educational benefits, she asked when did you get out from active duty. 2012; she automatically responded it's Only for the ones that get out from active duty 5 years or less. I regret wasting time to go to this place.

Administration Personnel are rude and have a very negative attitude. They answer every question in a very condescending manner. These experiences make me think that all ETI personnel are the same and or customer service really isn’t their thing here.
