I am dealing with a lot. Emotionally, physically, mentally. My family is a major trigger for me. Zoe has been accommodating, professional, and hands down the best Therapist I have ever begun to work with. I feel as though the tools being taught to me are not only a necessity in today’s modern and often difficult times, but also obtainable. Previous experiences it seemed almost robotic, as if the therapist was using a kind of chart or diagram that was general in concept. Dr. Shaw has been working with me, as if I was unique. One of a kind. Not trying to get me to fit in some sort of generalized practice. Her knowledge and support has even given me hope that one day I can embrace my Mother with compassion and love. I have learned to establish boundaries. To stand up for myself. And how important necessary it is. Also to do it with assertiveness and respect. I am grateful for the opportunity to work WITH her. Not FOR her. That is the greatest difference between Dr.Shaw, and so many others I have gone too. Did I mention I live in North Carolina?!!!!! I highly, recommend.
