Working with Dr. Osei has been a breath of fresh air. I have been seeing Dr. Johnson for 9 months now after having developing severe anxiety towards my academic life and most tasks pertaining to housework, self-improvement, and even social events. I went through a long period of denial that led to a depressive episode. After having a few sessions with 3 other psychotherapist, I whole-heartedly chose Dr. Johnson. In the beginning, I hadn’t realized the importance of compatibility between psychologist and patient; I was much too focused on the logistics of the therapeutic treatment. During my psychologist “shopping” period, it became so evidently clear to me that Dr. Johnson was the only professional with whom I would feel most comfortable.
And I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t feel comfortable in her office and reach that crucial point of trust! Uniquely, Dr. Johnson has such an energetic presence, unlike the jaded atmosphere provided by other mental health professionals. She invests herself in your fully wellbeing, showing you that you can get better, even in the most hopeless moments of the healing process.
Therapy can be hard work and very emotionally draining, but Dr. Johnson has made it the most rewarding experience of my life. She has incredible insight, and is extremely good at identifying the underlying issues and delivering CBT therapy. Dr. Johnson gives you the energy you need to raise yourself up. Together with her, I have been able to return to school and now am back on track to graduation. She has helped me reclaim the day and feel that excitement of life again. I highly recommend her.
Something specific to her practice that makes her such an incredible healthcare professional is her availability: Dr. Johnson is very reachable by call or text. She leaves room in her scheduling between patients so that you’ll never get kicked out if you need a few extra minutes to finish the session, the way other therapists might. Her flexibility also allows for scheduling emergency visits. Overall, she ensures that you feel like you have her support at all times, something that has been so crucial in my betterment!
