He has a unique gift for listening intently, providing practical advice, and most importantly grounding everything he does and says in sound Biblical doctrine. He always started with a scripture reading and prayer, was able to point to specific Bible passages off-the-cuff, and provided strong theological backing for the practical concepts and skills he shared. He also has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the psychological side and secular counseling methodologies. He integrated these seamlessly, showing (where applicable) they are consistent with scripture.
