CSU has been full of great opportunities that I have had the chance to take a part in and I've only been here a year so far! The campus only continues to grow and improve and all of the faculty and staff have been more than willing to help me get to where I need to be. Just like any school, as long as you stay on top of your work, it'll have some of the best times of your life! Can't wait for next year!

Edit-
One year later and I wish I could give it more stars! CSU's professional faculty and wonderful staff always leave me wishing other places were like them! CSU has given me some very valuable education and experiences. Every university has its faults, but with CSU, if you try and make a difference, they'll help you! People like to complain online but never do much in the real world. I've had very few times where something was amiss at this university, but when I addressed it to those that could help, they would do exactly that, and it would be fixed before I even knew it. Learning in the classes here is more fun than it is a chore if I'm honest. The professors really care and the classes are small enough to make real connections. I wish I could speak for everyone, but sadly I can't and am not sure just how true these bad reviews are, but I can attest to my incredible experience at CSU and how it is one of the best schools in the Southeast and definitely a hidden gem to those looking at schools. Still can't wait for another great year as CSU only gets better!

Second Edit-
It has been quite some time since making a review for me! It's been so long, that I graduated a year ago! Crazy stuff, but I still love this university! Through the pandemic, the tough times were made easier by support of the faculty and staff. Before the pandemic though, when this university could shine without limits, it really showed me what I was made of and what I could do in this life. Although smaller than most, CSU is mighty due to its community, support for students, and overall amazing ways of teaching. Looking back, I can tell there were moments where I was learning so much and didn't even realize it. Now that I have graduated, I can only appreciate my time there and wish that the end wasn't so bittersweet. If you are ever thinking of coming here, I would say go for it! Somehow, it is just a place that proves your potential and pushes you into new and better parts of life!

This university works magic for the first generation college student and really helps out the family. Thanks for the allowances you make on your students behalf. You all keep my girl safe! and encouraged.

why is social security number a requirement? at intake I had to provide the number and I did so begrudgingly as i was given no option and assured security controls were in place. Months later, a year or so now, my portal is prompting me to upload copies of my SS card. Why? No details except that it’s an admission checklist item. I’ve been admitted for some time. I don’t know if it’s due to the site and email changes but I’ve been experiencing quite a few issues. Also, I would appreciate if the big curb in the biggest parking garage could made better. I’ve lost a rim to it and during new semesters, car debris can be spotted near it and near exit/entrance. As I type this I’m watching a car go the opposite direction in the traffic circle near the dorms. This happens all the time with little consequences. Weather alerts and trespasser alerts are sent to students and faculty but business operations still go on as normal. Basically, use your own discretion. I do not feel student and faculty safety is a priority .

The staff in the financial aid back office are blaming the students for the incorrect prices for online classes in Army IgnitED. The classes that appear are what we select and pay for. We do not get to choose the price per credit hour. I wish that they could resolve this issue in person, but they were unable to find a solution.

Bursar's Office is horrible. They make you jump through hoops and once everything they need is provided you still have to wait forever for a resolution. I'm a upcoming graduating senior and can't even get help with removing a hold that is preventing me from registering for classes. If the classes end up being full I can't graduate. It's simply sad how they treat you. You also can't ever speak to anyone from the Bursar's office. So many other students share similar experiences. It's SAD! Quick to take your money but slow at helping.

Witnessed extreme racism and unfair practices by one professor who ruined my academic record. I went to the Dean of Students and was told the professor could essentially do whatever they wanted. This professor was one of only approximately 4 within the department at the time and therefore it was impossible to avoid taking courses led by them and finish the degree. The professor was eventually terminated, but I wonder how many students this has happened to over the years that are still dealing with an unfairly low GPA that has cost them acceptance into graduate school.
