I can't recommend this place enough. Bill has helped me through many personal and interpersonal problems I have had. I have learned very much about myself from his explanations of human behavior from both a social and scientific perspectives. He remembers things from conversations we have had months ago that even I have forgotten. After most meetings, I leave with a sense of optimism and motivation to deal with whatever problems I am facing.

This is the second counseling location in Sonora I’ve tried to seek support from. After a bad experience calling an independent therapist in Sonora, I sought care here. They (Aimee) rescheduled me twice, then called again this week for a third(!) reschedule. She chalked it up to scheduling difficulties. Sure, that happens, I am actually pretty understanding. But 3 times in about an week… either someone isn’t booking appts effectively or something else internal isn’t working efficiently…

They seem to lack compassion or a sense of commitment - at least for new clients. When I expressed to Aimee this experience was making me feel like they didn’t want me as a client, she again chalked it up to scheduling difficulties - in a condescending tone - coupled with an urgency to get off the phone with me.

Experiences like this are truly why people refrain from seeking care. I don’t know that I have it in me to try this again elsewhere. Between my insurance being “subpar” (yes, there have been insinuations) and apparent scheduling difficulties, I’m at a loss trying to find support. Jeez

Went through Aimee Schultz. Ultimately, didn't feel the connection but was astonished by how unkind they were regarding a rescheduled appointment. An establishment we go to was closed due to covid we were only given 12hrs notice ourselves. We called the counseling office the morning of our appointment to let them know that our establishment had closed due to covid but we are healthy and that we were not notified to do any contact tracing and would like to know if we could still come to our appointment or if they wanted us to reschedule they said they wanted us to reschedule fast forward to our next appointment and not only did they charge us for our last appointment they charged us full price instead of our $20 insurance rate for not giving them 24hr notice and when we asked why, we were just trying to be nice and considerate of their business they gave a cold hearted you agreed to pay and you signed a form when you signed up to go here. I let them know it would have been nice to be told that when they asked us to reschedule and still got a welp you agreed to pay if you don't give 24hr notice. We didn't even receive 24hr notice ourselves and they were aware of that..

Bill Silva was our marriage counsellor. He had very little follow through and would often forget what had occurred in previous meetings. We basically wasted a lot of time and money at Central Sierra Counseling.
