This was great. It’s actually a hidden speakeasy, not some thing someone just called that because it sounds cool. One wouldn’t find it on their own. Inside the bartender’s did a great job making drinks based on a theme from our crew. This isn’t a place to just go order an Old Fashioned, you can get one, but the point is to tell them the themes you like and they make something that fits… for example agave, spice, hit of sweet… and what resulted was a margarita type thing, but on another level. The person in our group declared “best drink ever”. I tried it and agree. Personally, i went a bit more bizzare and got some dam good cocktails, but I have a hard time describing them here. Give this place a try!

I highly recommend experiencing the Canary Speakeasy at the Hotel Alpenrock during your stay in Breckenridge. We started at the Carter Bar with Grace as our server. She made wonderful recommendations for apps and drinks! We also met Shaun the Food & Beverage GM and Diego an F&B Supervisor. They were both so helpful and really made sure our evening was special. Inside the Canary Speakeasy, Jorge Carlos (JC) is the most amazing bartender really immersing us in the Prohibition Cocktail experience. He crafted individual drinks for each person after really listening to what we like. Mine was a delicious concoction that was the highlight of the evening.

The speakeasy in Hotel Alpenrock requires a reservation but it is well worth the wait. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and made exquisite drinks! All we needed to say was "I want to try something with rum" or "something refreshing with mezcal" and he created fantastic concoctions. Highly recommend to anyone in Breckenridge!
