My daughters (ages 11 & 14) had a great surfing experience with Alex in Laguna Beach. In fact, they loved it so much, we worked to fit in a second lesson! Wonderful instructor. Gorgeous location.

AWESOME experience!! Not once, not twice, but 3 times! Ryan is so good with helping the experience to be successful. My niece rode 15 waves. I bring all my out-of-town guests to California Surf Experience...even those over 55.

So much fun! Our private lesson with Mia was an amazing experience, with both of us being able to get up on the board and ride a small wave. Mia was knowledgeable and friendly and contributed to an all around great time out on the water. Highly recommend taking a surf lesson with Mia!

My son and I booked a private lesson with Ellie and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and the waves were a mix of small and medium so we had a chance to experience both. We learned a lot about reading the sets. It was a definite workout as we were both tired by the end, but we would do this again in a heart beat. Thank you Ellie and we will do it again when we are back in town.

I had a lot of fun doing this! It was so fun to get out in the water. Definitely a good workout though haha. My instructor was Travis, he taught me some good safety and beginner tips, and then was very helpful and patient during the lesson. I ended up ending the lesson early as I felt my stamina was low, but Travis wasn't pushy about continuing. I think if I had rested more I could have probably kept going, just wasn't sure of my capabilities. But definitely a good learning experience. I definitely would recommend trying this, just make sure you're a good swimmer and also know it's ok to take breaks when you need. I hope to try it again soon and hopefully make it the whole time next time!
