Layla has a beautiful energy and seeks to understand and help you (and your child) as best she can. She brings a gentle, unjudgmental and curious nature to all that she does, and it is easy to feel comfortable and understood with her. My 5 year old son and I did the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) with her and had fantastic results with it. I found levels of calm, inner peace and steadiness that I couldn't remember feeling for a very long time (years and years). These deepened as time went on after the protocol, which was amazing. I have used many methods in the past to work with anxiety, stress and nervous system dysregulation, and nothing worked this deeply. I highly recommend it, and recommend Layla as a practitioner.

The way she explained the SSP process and helped me to brief and guide my son, teaching him about Autonomic Nervous System responses was super supportive, informative and age-appropriate. From the one video and the explanations she told me to share along the way (as he and I watched it together), he grasped the concepts and still - 3 months later - talks about them when he is feeling certain ways. It takes a skilled and wise practitioner to effectively teach someone else how to share key messages with another, and at the same time, encourage that parent to trust their intuition and relationship with their child in the process too. I'm grateful for the language and way of explaining things that Layla introduced to us, as it helps my son to share how he is feeling more easily and me to explain what might be activating his nervous system at certain times too; this something we can use for years to come.

We worked with Layla online, but I can see how well she must work with children in person, she clearly knows how to listen to and communicate with them well.

Layla has been an incredible asset to my son and to our entire family. She is a wonderful therapist - knowledgeable, professional, supportive and helpful. She is especially proficient in the area of queer and trans youth. My teenage son really likes and trusts her, and he appreciates how much he has been able to connect with her. Would recommend 100 times over.

Virtual therapy with Bodhisattva Counseling has been wonderful. Layla has helped me on my healing journey for several years now and has helped me find my voice and supported me while recovering from past trauma. She has made the space so I could unlearn harmful, unhealthy patterns and create new pathways to what I really want in life. The whole experience has helped me become a person that I am proud of, and I've been able to experience more joy than ever before. I recommend virtual therapy with Bodhisattva Counseling 1000%. It has truly been a life changing experience.

Layla is compassionate, mindful, and a very good listener. I can tell that she owns these qualities out of having learned them and assimilated them experientially in her own life and not as a mere pleasing facade. She is an excellent therapist who I highly recommend to anyone in need to be seen, accepted, and supported in the process of healing.

I have referred many of my friends to BodhiSattva Counseling, for therapy for their kids. Layla is amazing at working with kids and teens! BodhiSattva Counseling also does Safe and Sound protocol, an innovative non-medicine approach for trauma or behavioral challenges (especially helpful for my friends' kids who can be really moody, angry, or get overstimulated easily). Highly recommend you call BSC if you need some mental health support!

I have sent many patients to Layla for panic attacks and anxiety management. We have shared several patients and they have benefitted from working with a somatic therapist.

I refer many teenagers to her that are starting their journeys with understanding gender identity issues. She is a wealth of knowledge, and brings a warm and accepting presence.
