She greatly benefited from the intensive outpatient group sessions and the skills she learned there significantly improved her mental health stability as well as eliminated safety issues.

I am also the president of Central Coast CAMFT and recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Balance to put on a training for therapists throughout California. Their staff was wonderful to work with. I appreciate that they prioritize providing their staff as well as therapists in the community with high quality trainings.

The schedule changes week to week, so if you need BALANCE in your schedule, you won’t get it here. The staff changes month to month. So if you need RELIABILITY in staffing, don’t count on it here. Front office staff compliments you when they need something from you. You want to learn skills that are actively taught and then used across groups? Don’t count on it here. You want to change for the better, grow, see actionable improvement, become a better YOU? Won’t happen here. Best they can do is show you how to keep your head above water.

I have been putting off reviewing Balance because the people there have made such a huge positive impact in my life that I could not possibly write a review that would show how wonderful they are.

I would like to share a few things that have helped me a lot and I have really been greatful for and that are important to know when considering if it is a place to go...

Balance is filled with mostly honest people who actually do the things they teach clients. They are honest from the top of their company to the bottom which has taught me to be willing to be more honest and to use mistakes as a learning experience. They have been extremely supportive and actually really care and put a lot of effort into guiding the groups to meet the clients needs. And they are really great at communicating among themselves and with clients.

The people there are not just warm, but authentic, real people. They have helped guide me through things I don't think I could get through on my own. They have helped me see that I can trust some, which seemed like an impossible thing. When I first went there, I think I didn't know what was going on most of the time. I don't think I noticed that I didn't notice. And while it is distressing to be aware more often sometimes, because of their help and guidance I know that I can keep trying and life can be worth living.

While I still have a lot of things to work on, I have grown in a lot of areas because of the experiences I have had at Balance. They have given me a lot of chances and I am alive still because of them. Literally.

Balance is the best, not just because what they teach, but also because of all the wonderful people who are there.
