I went to see therapist Shelly at this location years ago. I was very depressed, and the things she taught me and the way I felt better after each session....saved my life. I was able to cope with traumatic events that were happening to me. I went on to complete my Master's degree because of her encouragement, and developed stronger family relationships and coping skills to help others. I credit the outstanding counseling skills of Therapist Shelly Thomas. You have to be open and trust the process to understand specific counseling techniques, and to get the best benefits for your situation. Thanks Shelly....and Athena Counseling for choosing quality staff like Shelly to help those who are broken and struggling in this world!!!!

I remember when I used to come here as a kid, I was only about 13 years old or so, may 11, anyway, a man named Leland used to counsel me and my brother Michael and give us hot Cheetos and play with toys while we spoke with him. He was the best and made us feel comfortable about talking and it was fun and therapeutic. Then, they transferred us to Shelly and we had no games, no toys, no fun, and she was very straightforward and seemed very unfriendly. This was back when it was a family oriented therapy session. I will be 27 now, so that was years ago. I miss Leland and I hope that if he's still alive today he gets to see this message, thank you for always making my brother and I feel welcomed. I feel I have a great relationship with my brother despite us growing up in foster homes because of the memories you gave us. Thank you Leland! ?

While I read books by other therapists to compensate between weekly visits, those authors just corroborated Shelley's (my therapist) advice. She taught me a lot about how to be a better person overall, not just a better wife or mother. She didnt sugar coat anything, but told me the truth though at times it was hard to swallow. I think therapy can be really beneficial for people, but only if they are willing to face the facts and stop playing the victim. We also have to keep an open mind. I really value my sessions with Shelley. She's the best therapist I've been to.

You shouldn't seek support from a therapist and be traumatized in the process. Shelly is unnecessarily callous and cruel. Her only focus is how to get the maximum money out of your visit and NOT healthcare. This person should lose her license and I don't say that lightly. Doesn't deserve even one star.

This is regarding the therapist Isuzu Hopper. She is so kind, patient, wise, and understanding. She has helped my son tremendously and I recommend her to anyone with a child that is struggling with emotional struggles. Thank you Mrs. Hopper! ありがとうございます。

This therapist Shelly Thomas has to be the absolute worst therapist I have ever encountered. Extremely rude, belittling, presumptuous and provides very bias opinions when she doesn't know anything about you. I wouldn't recommend this this insensitive, rude and judgmental person to my worst enemy. Be forewarned.
