Had aggressive behavior with a 11 month old golden doodle. Found Apex and reached out to Zan. My dogs instantly responded to her. Our problem child showed improvement from the first meeting. Zan’s taught us a lot about turning his behavior into positive results. Very proud of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism Zan demonstrated. Highly recommend if you need assistance with behavior issues. Zan provided us with the proper training tools to enjoy this young pup. He is back on track and it’s all thanks to Zan. Amazing Transformation! Contacted Zan for training Duke, our 4 year old Dutch Shepherd. We wanted a trainer with experience with aggressive, reactive dogs, and Apex did not disappoint! Zan is very experienced and provided us and Duke practical effective training sessions that improved our confidence in working with a high strung dog. Zan was able to help us get Duke to be obedient and to help him (and us) cope with his reactivity to people and other dogs. At each lesson she’d ensure we were on track and then add a new skill to work on. She exceeded our expectations! We appreciated her flexibility in conducting training sessions in practical locations (our home, Wickham Park, and even Home Depot). She worked around our schedule too! We highly recommend her services!

Wonderful experience with Apex Movement and Zan! The training style is gentle (but firm), intuitive, and easy to replicate once the sessions are done. My puppy Bodie — who was learning his manners — loved working with Zan and learned so many lessons! And my boyfriend and I learned so many valuable lessons too, which help us understand Bodie and his needs and wants. Zan was kind, extremely knowledgeable, and always made us — and Bodie! — feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend!!

My family and our rescue pup love her. Zan is well experienced and is always eager to answer questions and share advice. California’s loss is going to be Florida’s gain when it comes to dog training. It was our good fortune we got in with Zan prior to her relocation so that our 4 month old labradoodle benefited from essential puppy obedience training, purpose-driven walks and socialization skills in public locations. Zan definitely understands dog behavior, correction and reinforcement as well as the necessary skills required by the handler/owner. She ensures understanding of the lessons by seeking and observing follow up demonstration and offers appropriate guidance alternating with praise when necessary. It’s encouraging to know when things are going well just as when they need improvement. Most importantly, I feel the necessary groundwork has been firmly established for getting our puppy well on her way to becoming not only an obedient pet, but an excellent therapy dog to provide hospital visits. We’ll have Zan to thank for that!

Zan’s training made a huge impact on our 1 year old rescue dog (husky mix). His ability to walk on leash greatly improved along with his obedience and behavior. Zan is very knowledgeable and always explains the “why” behind each command or method.
