She is truly the best therapist I've ever met. She's not only a therapist, I consider her practically a friend. We have the best conversations/sessions even if I cry for the entire hour. Unfortunately my experience was not the same as the rest on here. My initial consult about 2 years ago did not go well. I reluctantly shared with Ms. Ramirez about a certain aspect of my life which would be considered non-traditional according to Western standards. A therapist does not need to mutually agree, but should be able to show neutrality, which she absolutely did not. I left that initial consultation feeling incredibly judged and “othered”. It’s been 2 years & I haven’t forgotten that feeling I felt. I need to tell my truth on it and not carry the weight alone. Hence the purpose of this posting. I was able to find a therapist I could work with who was professional enough to get to know the heart of “me” without any slight to my culture (mind you my culture was not even my intention for seeking out a therapist). It took me 2 months to shake off my initial consult with Ms. Ramirez and begin anew with my search for a therapist. That should give context to how judged I felt by her.

Adriana is a wonderful therapist; I can't say enough great things about her in this review. Adriana is very professional, and knowledgeable in her credentials and degree field(s) yet she is unobtrusive and has never been condescending in any way during any of our sessions. She is a great therapist because while she maintains an atmosphere of professional confidentiality she is still congenial and generally friendly in demeanor, and conversation, in a way which allows her clients to feel less inhibited and unafraid when discussing both general issues within day to day life and deeper psychological issues which require therapeutic guidance in order to discuss. In brief, Adriana is very easy to converse with and she encourages a positive environment of "proactive" introspection rather than "reactive" response.
Unless there is some serious issue to address, Adriana, usually allows the client to guide the conversation in the direction which we prefer. She explains traditional "academic" psychological concepts in a welcoming manner which is clear, uncomplicated and not intimidating. She allows the client to explore those psychological theories and practices to their comfort level of comprehension. I'm very appreciative to have found Adriana as a therapist; I have thoroughly enjoyed our sessions and I am always looking forward to our next. Her services are definitely worth the extra time and effort and I hope to continue our sessions for as long as possible.
