I was a subcontractor for them at the Veterans Memorial Park in Sunrise, Florida in July of 2018. I brought my stew down from Michigan and when I arrived they weren’t ready and never pulled their permit. They cost me $31,000 in housing, equipment rental, and living expenses for 3 weeks while we sat there. I begged them to let me do other work like grade the site that needed it. They chose no do it themselves and did it in the middle of my sewer operations. The decided to destroy my Dewatering containment area and about 1.5 acres of water at 12” deep all went into the sanitary sewer and my newly installed storm sewer. They flooded my system. Then they never payed me over $181,000 and left me bankrupt. At about 85% completed the contractors started pouring on off the streets warning me about how they don’t pay there subs. For a 2 month stretch I saw the project manager and assistant project manager once. The city did nothing but talk negative about them. They never even provided permitted plans and I caught after we started that changes were made. When I submitted my change order request their ignorant senior project manager Gary said they only had a small time frame to submit a change order for the changes and my claim was invalid. The revised plans were given to me 5 months after they received them. They provide no benefit to anyone and these guys belong behind bars. As I type this I’m currently facing numerous lawsuits against my business and me personally because of them. My wife and 4 kids have to see me kill myself to bring home the basic necessities now because I’m so far in debt and trying to avoid bankruptcy. During my time on their project they never communicated with me unless they felt the need to gripe about things they had no clue about. If you’re not on site managing your jobs don’t gripe about something your clueless about. Their fireman(s) started stalking me in November, 3 months after I completed my work, looking for advice and asking questions. I ignored their calls hoping the big wigs would call me so I could see what’s going on with my money. Finally I talked to one of the foreman’s and I told him I wouldn’t talk to him until I got paid, Then they stopped calling me for good.

They did a project for my job and I was completely baffled by the poor quality and poor work ethic I witnessed while they remodeled our office.
As someone who's family worked in construction, I can 100% tell you that they have absolutely no clue what they are doing.
They had to come back out a few times and even still, did not complete the project they were hired to do.
If you are looking for a company to do any type of construction/contracting work, do yourself a huge favor and find someone else.

Trash GC. These guys are full of it. Not one once of professionalism. Senior PM on down to the field staff all are horrible. These guys get away with this concentrating on gov work. No one at West knows what they are doing. Will never do work for them again. This is the worst experience i have ever had in 30 years in construction. Site conditions are atrocious, Management is not fit to run a 100 dollar project much less run million dollar project. The goverment should be careful who they hire, spending tax dollars on this disgrace of a contractor should be a crime. While their actions have no direct baring on my life, I felt a cautionary word is needed for the people that may use them..... STAY AWAY FROM WEST CONSTRUCTION!

SCAM ARTISTS AND THIEVES STAY AWAY. We did 3 separate jobs for this company and they never paid us. There customers loved the fences that we did and the customers paid them. Now we are suing them for around 100,000 dollars. We have reached out to the owner and they do nothing but ignore the situation. We think they might be having financial problems hence the non payment to us and other subcontractors. If anyone needs case numbers of lawsuits as proof just reach out to me. We have spoken to other subs and this tends to be a trend with this company. EVERYONE BEWARE. Luckily we have great attorneys.

I purchased a home built by West Construction. The home was delivered 6 month past the initial contract date. West Construction took no responsibility and stated that that's how construction goes. I was told that there would be several walk throughs and detailing before moving in. Instead they blocked me from seeing the unit until hours before closing. Upon moving into the home, i noticed all of the defects and problem. West Construction has been completely unresponsive to my request along with the request of the other owners in the complex. Just like what their contractors are stating, West Construction is completely unprofessional and dishonest.

Never buy a house from them. They did a bunch of things wrong and don't take any accountability for it. Their plumbing was defective and now its causing all sorts of problems. My house been flooded twice in a month.

We’re a small business that takes pride in delivering quality work and honoring our commitments. Unfortunately, our experience with West Construction has been disheartening — not once, but twice.
Several years ago, we had to file a lawsuit just to get paid for completed work. We were assured that things would be different moving forward. Fast forward to today, we find ourselves in a similar situation on the Fire Station 52 project in Pompano Beach — work completed, promises made, but payment still delayed.
It’s frustrating and frankly discouraging that small businesses are often left to chase payments while larger contractors continue to win public contracts.
We believe that doing business in good faith is a basic standard — if a job is done, it should be paid for. The City of Pompano Beach has been informed of the situation. Let’s see if they take appropriate action to hold their contractors accountable.
We’re hopeful for a resolution, but also feel it's important to speak up — small businesses deserve better.
