The historical train ride up to the Grand Canyon rim was the way to go. It was comfortable. The car was air conditioned, with a bathroom, and they provided drinking water.

I'm so glad that my family and I chose this route.

Recommendation: buy your tickets in advance, it is a very smooth pickup when you show up to the ticket counter.

Had the best time. Beautiful ride to grand canyon. Dome car was great, lots of wildlife and the staff! Cansay enough about the conductors, entertainment and the robbers!! The Sherrif was a hoot. You Have to go. At the rim for just enough time to walk the rim, get lunch and ride back to Williams. Tip the train staff, they were awesome ?

Absolutely fantastic experience. The train was smooth and we saw quite a bit of wildlife. Our car host Jane was super informative and hospitable. The Canyon was fabulous. We chose the El Tevor (?) for lunch and we’re not disappointed.

What a great experience!!! Took my kids amd family that came from Chicago. From the online buying experience through the train ride ALL was WONDERFUL. Our ride host was very informative. The entertartainers sang some great songs. On the ride back from the Grand Canyon the "robbers" got on the train and took our money...

All in all it was a good experience for all...

Not only is seeing the Grand Canyon and a train ride Awesome. But all the staff there and back had the most unbelievable customer service that we have Not seen in a long time. Thus is an experience we want to share with all of our family and friends. We'll worth the money and time to do at least once. As for us, we will be doing g it again!!!!

Authentic, fun and an amazing way to experience the Grand Canyon.

My wife visited the Grand Canyon on The Train 21 years ago. She has talked about how great it was as a child. So I promised to take her once we had a family.

It was exactly the same as she remembered and the pictures show, so it was authentic.

The morning started with getting our tickets from an authentic looking old school station. We purchased online but you pick the pictures up at the window. You then go and watch a Cowboy skit which is funny.

The train boards very promptly!! We purchased Pullman class going up and Coach back. The Pullman class is the old school cars with no a/c and opening windows. To me, this was better than the Coach class on return. We could look at the windows and feel the air on our faces.

The train car attendant was awesome and gave history stories along the way. A guy came through and played songs on the guitar. And one of the best parts was the “train robbery”. The kids loved it.

Overall, it is a pricey trip. A little over $300 for us all. But it was an amazing experience.

Met really nice people, and our steward, Brian , was excellent, they even had a set of horse theifs robbers get on board...fun

This is hotel associated with the Grand canyon train.I purchased a package that included the train trip of the hotel room and buffet dinner and breakfast.unfortunately I was unable to stay for the duration of the vacation I had purchased but I did stay one night and also had the dinner.the dinner was a buffet it was a good time not full of starches but full of meats fishes and dessert and a good salad bar. The room I had gotten was excellent. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The dinner also came with entertainment.
