Joined and contacted Josh about the claims and my desire to schedule a gold finding trip for my son and I. Totally willing to pay the $300 for a little instruction and hand holding. Talked to Josh twice and he basically told me he was to busy to even check his calendar and could I call back another day. This I did, only to be told to call back next week. This guy is not much for customer service. Subscription cancelled. If I'm going to DIY then why pay him to tell me to get lost. Not worth the money if you are interested in this fella guiding your hand to some gold. I assume he has so many good reviews because they all seem to be family and friends

Been a member of another well known prospecting club for many years and hardly found anything on their overworked claims.

Prior to joining Josh's group, I spoke with him on the phone. He was so courteous and patient with answering my questions. I made the decision to sign both my brother and I up for the monthly membership. The price is super affordable. The very first time we went to one of the claims we found a couple of pickers as well as about a gram or so of fine gold within a couple of hours.

I absolutely recommend joining this group.

I spent the day with Josh on a guided tour of little known historical places in the Mother Lode. The attention to details and how the history ties in with the current prospecting and mining activities was fascinating. Josh took me to his own claim as part of the tour and shared more history there. I was able to pan and sluice, finding some nice gold as a great way to top off the tour.
I highly recommend Josh's tour service, you will learn alot whether it's your first time in good country or you've lived here all your life.

Stopped in on way through the area. Bought a couple gold pans and a membership. Gave me directions to one of the claims, and headed out. After about 45 minute drive, we arrived. The water was high so pulled gravel from bedrock crevices along the bank. Every single pan had color for 3 hours. Was a great time and highly recommend this shop to others.
