Museum staff members are friendly and willing to engage with visitors sharing their knowledgeable about the history of McCloud. Thanks for being dog friendly allowing my little 11-pound LuLu to be with us while visiting. I purchased a museum t-shirt and shook hands with the designer Stephen Richardson. Museum is a must see when exploring McCloud. Free admission but make a donation (or buy a t-shirt) to support continued operations?

I gave them 3 stars today because they were not open but I love the town. This place is ran by volunteers, and sometimes not open when the Internet says they are. You should call if you are going to the area just for the museum. There is some wonderful history in this town. On this trip the museum was not open but we stopped into the jewelry shop nextdoor and had a wonderful talk with the owner about the towns history.

Excellent local history museum - divided into areas relevant to local industry, the hospital, churches, etc. Kelly was a great docent! Enjoyed all of it!

This was a great place to learn about the history of the city McCloud. There's so much to look at and a lot to learn about the industry that shaped the town. I definitely recommend it, it is free but leave a donation if you can.
