Beautiful, spacious lodge it’s a little hike to town and slopes, and not on the shuttle route, but the beauty of the property more than makes up for it.

I grew up in breck and the lake was just a quick walk from my home. Now I have 3 kids under 3 and they gated up the main entrance to the lake. Now I have to take a stroller with 3 babies in it on a bumpy, rocky trail. I do not recommend BOEC for families. Go elsewhere if you have kids. This place is not kid or parent friendly anymore.

The Sawmill Reservoir is a hidden gem right in the middle of the Town of Breckenridge. Easy walk, no matter your age, around the lake. Other hikes branch off the reservoir. Great location for weddings. BOEC is a tremendous organization giving back to the community thru hundreds of volunteers helping veterans, handicapped and mentally challenged persons in a beautiful location.
