A nice park in Basalt, CO. It is open to the public and is dog friendly. It has playground equipment, a slightly big field (big enough to throw balls for a dog to get) and a shelter that anyone can use (you can reserve it with the town of Basalt, but you don't have to, to use it). The park also has a good amount of parking and there is almost always a few parking spots. The park is rarely crowded and almost always has 6 or less people at it, and not always there is dogs in the field, and about 40-50% of the time someone is there, they are with a dog.

My daughter had an excellent time playing on the playground. The baby swing has a very short lead, but there is a pool adjacent and a local preschool recesses there, so it is an amazing place to socialize very young children.

Came for vacation and so happy we found this park. It’s about a 5 minute walk from the basalt mountain inn (google doesn’t show a trail that makes the walk much shorter). Swings, tons of equipment, portapottys, green space, picnic tables and a grill. Plenty of shade too.

Its dog friendly and they also have a play ground if you have children. It was so much fun playing in the snow and everyone out there was friendly as well as their dogs. It was a lot of fun n.n
