My wife found The Mommy Center and it has been a blessing for our family. Not only does it provide a support system for mommies, it also organizes events from parties in the park, to nights out for mommies, to swim parties, to potluck, to picture days… and everything in between!

As new parents, it could be challenging to remember that we are more than Mommy and Daddy. All the events and gatherings that The Mommy Center organizes allows parents to hang out and socialize with other full-sized humans and reminds us that we don’t have to feel alone or isolated. It is a really convenient environment for parents, new or not, to find support and socialize. My wife and I have met some of our best friends through The Mommy Center.

The Mommy Center even has a group for daddies! (Our group was called Buds and Brew) I met some of the kindest men at this group, including the founder’s husband, and most of us were wearing the same smell of diapers and delirium when we walked through the doors. It has been roughly 18 months since I had the pleasure of joining the group and I still keep in touch with at least half of the fathers that were there. The daddies would have a night with the babies where we would sit in a circle and talk about our favorite new thing our babies were doing, and also bounce ideas or concerns off of one another. Trading tips and tricks that we were learning along the way was super helpful. Each week or two, we had a Saturday gathering where the babies would finger paint, or play in sensory bins, or enjoy a music experience with an instructor. Some of my fondest memories with my daughter were in those rooms with other new dads in my shoes.

The Mommy Center has played a huge role in my daughter’s socializing and learning skills and I cannot recommend it enough… She’s not even 3 years old and she’s already taking over the boardroom!

Especially to the daddies out there, get out there and join one of these daddy groups… you will put yourself in a room with your child with nothing to do but focus on your relationship with them. You will make new friends, and you will make fond memories, and you will wish you had joined sooner.

Now… look at my kid climbing on this table!

I attended the Mommy & Me Postpartum class series for 0-3 months in September 2024. Saddleback Women’s Hospital offers the class series for those who delivered at their hospital and that was a huge reason why I decided to deliver there. I’m so grateful for the Mommy Center and Carmen (facilitator) for providing an amazing program to postpartum moms. The classes every week were so thought out and beneficial. I really liked that they brought in experts - lactation, sleep, and occupational therapist. I’m a first time mom and the program helped me with my postpartum anxiety. I had so much anxiety leaving the house without my husband and being out in public with a crying baby. Attending classes helped me feel confident leaving the house, gave me practice commuting to and from class on my own with my baby, and being out in public with a sometimes fussy baby. Carmen made the classroom a safe space to discuss how we’re feeling and to come as is with no judgment. The best part was being able to go through the postpartum journey with other moms in the same stage as you. I met some incredible strong women in my program and I’m so fortunate to call them my friends.

The Mommy Center truly helped me so much. I first attended the 3 to 6 month class and found it both so helpful and enjoyable, that I signed up for the 7 to 12 month class.

I am a first time mom and I found myself always questioning if I was doing the right thing and the best way to care for my sweet baby boy.

The mommy center gave me so much confidence though. Carmen was my instructor for both classes, and she provides such a safe and open space for us moms. We can truly be vulnerable and feel seen. Knowing you’re not alone when going through these struggles is such a comfort!

I have recommended the mommy center to anyone and everyone who will listen. If you’re thinking about signing up for a class, just do it - you won’t be sorry!

The Mommy center is a very pleasant way to spend a morning with your little one. The instructors were so empathetic, kind and full of immediately useful information for whatever aspect of parenting you’re currently navigating. I attended a full session of a sensory play group for my 1yo, back in January and a recent Stay & Play group session (July). He had a great time and the activities on offer were fantastically organized in their charming studio. Met very sweet mamas and littles. Thanks Christina! We will be back 🙂

I’ve taken multiple classes through The Mommy Center: 0-3 month and 3-6 month Mommy & Me classes with my first daughter and Mommies Round 2 with my second daughter. I would highly recommend The Mommy Center to every first time mom and it’s a great experience as a second time mom too.

Each class focuses on a relevant topic (sleep, feeding, relationships, CPR, etc.) while also allowing time for each participant to share their current joys and challenges, which sparks additional conversations. The content of the classes themselves are useful but more importantly you are able to build relationships with other women in the same life stage as you. As a first time mom this is invaluable. While it’s up to you to foster those relationships outside of class, the owner, Cristina, helps facilitate this by creating a text group chat with class attendees, organizing a “mom’s day (or night) out”, and encouraging participants to meet for lunch/coffee, etc. after class. I’ve met many friends through these classes and I’m so grateful to The Mommy Center.

I took the complimentary 0-3 month class that is available to those who deliver at Saddleback hospital. I was blown away by how amazing the education is. I honestly wasn't expecting much for a free class and was pleasantly surprised at how useful the content was. Our facilitator, Carmen, was also very knowledgeable and engaging. Each week has a different topic of focus but each clas starts with the moms sharing their joys and challenges, and you get a lot of great advice and tips from that too.
I'm a second time mom and I still learned so much. I am very grateful for this offering and would 10/10 recommend it!

My postpartum journey would not have been the same without the Mommy Center. It was everything I needed and everything I didn't even know I needed. Carmen is such a special person who showed so much empathy and met us all right where we were every single week. I learned so much valuable information as a new mom and more importantly was shown that I am not alone in this journey. I will be forever grateful to The Mommy Center!

Amazing experience! I went to the 0-3 month Mommy & Me and it was so so helpful. I’m a first time mom and found a lot of support from Carmen (our doula and leader), from the other mamas, and from the guest speaker/specialist at each class. I was able to get great insight on baby’s sleep, breastfeeding/pumping, tummy time tips, as well as answers to my specific questions on so many random topics related to baby/mama/papa. I’m so grateful this resource is available and highly recommend it!
