I don't recommend attending this academy for CNA course. I attended this academy from October to November 2024. The owner and teacher are highly unprofessional. You have to understand that after completing the CNA course, you have to pass both the state written and skills tests to be able to apply for your CNA license. The written is so easy to schedule and take online, but the skills is a major problem scheduling it at this academy. It's been almost 3 months since I finished the course and I still haven't got a spot at this school to take the skills test. I'll have to schedule it at one of the regional testing centers, which is around 200 miles away from Denver. This issue was not communicated with us during the period of the course. I learned from a different school that they usually tell their students about how far they have to drive to take the skills exam. If you decide to take the course here, I recommend you schedule the skills exam at one of the regional testing centers as soon as you finish. There is no guarantee that you'll be able to schedule it at this school.
The other issue is the quality of teaching and teacher's behavior. Teacher Kate Gilbert is so unprofessional. She is very old and hard of hearing. She forgets things, and she yells at students when they make a mistake. She teaches some of the skills wrong. On the test, these skills have to be performed step by step exactly as written in the booklet, and you have to score a perfect score to pass the skills test. To add to that, the towels that students use for practice during the skills portion of the class are not washed routinely. So imagine using towels after washing other students feet, face, or arm on other students. Very unsanitary.
The teacher and owner also don't know how to deal with aggressive student behavior and bullying. They just let it happen, and no disciplinary action was taken against the bullying student.
The owner knows of all these issues, and decides to do nothing about it.

A highly unprofessional place. If you like uncertainty, being yelled at and treated unprofessionally, then this is the place to go. All the 1-star reviews are true. Your initial deposit is never refundable, so make sure you do your research before registering here. A good alternative is any other place, like Emily Griffith technical college or Colorado Medical Health Training.

Be aware, your plate has to be completely empty for you to take the QMAP cert successfully.
There is a decent amount of material to be studied and you only have 14 days to study the material AND sign up for the certification test before all access to your account is closed. They say 15 but closed my on the 14th day.
Be sure you don't have other obligations otherwise you will fail.
Also, you are required to do a skill test... they do not teach the skills. You read about them... There are no video materials provided. You are paying for mediocre training - at best.

Called early in question about their scholarship just to be told by this lady who had a rude condescending tone that they aren't given any scholarships. If you aren't giving a scholarship then why is it advertised on the website that you are.

BEWARE!! Very disappointed in the level of professionalism. Their website boasts that they have the lowest prices and will beat any other price. They flatly refused to match another schools admission prices and said other company prices were “ridiculous”. The person even called me a liar. I then read other reviews, and it seems I’m not alone. Do not use this company!

Where do I begin? I guess I’ll start with the fact that they kept my money and didn’t give me my certificate for cna . I a single mother as my kids dad passed away . I don’t have much support . I paid out of my own pocket . The day of testing there was a big snow storm that caused us to all have to reschedule. This really messed with my plans because I wasn’t able to work during the time it took me to complete the cna course . As soon as the cna course ended I had a job lined up and needed to work as my bills were falling behind . I also struggled through my payment plan even having to pay late fees . All this only to not receive my certificate. I even attempted to request my deposit back to take the cna on a later date and he refused to give my deposit . The crazy part is I took their phlebotomist’s course as well . Really attempting to better myself and land me a good job . The phlebotomy teacher would get edgy when people needed her to explain things . Blamed her back pain for why she was cranky . The cna teacher would constantly yell at us . I haven’t had time but I will be filing a motion in court to request my money back as well as pain and suffering for the stress this has caused me because I now I have to take the course AGAIN elsewhere losing more work time . As well as have them pay my court fees. This place is extremely unprofessional

APLMED Academy has been such an amazing experience for me. The class size is small which is great for the student to get help one on one when they need help. The program is affordable for everyone and everyone is friendly and helpful, especially my instructor Andie. She is the best best of all teacher I ever had and she is above and behind amazing with her teaching, not to mention how helpful, understanding, super friendly, and the most skilled instructor I ever had.
I really enjoyed and loved all my school time here at APLMED Academy.
