The score is actually no stars, but that was not an option. They are stealing black children and giving them to the highest bidder basically. They work with private religious adoption agencies. They will fight for those people to adopt. Not foster. Adopt your children and strip you of you parental rights permanently. If you have run ins with them, please make sure you get a good lawyer immediately. The “advocate” they give you to work with , works with this department. Get a sponsor. Join a program. Anything you can do to avoid utilizing the resources they give you from within the department. Look into taking your own parenting classes because they will stall setting them up and will then tell the court that you aren’t taking you plan seriously. The family they will give your family to will probably have an abundance of resources and the department will do everything they can to make the case go stagnant, even if you have other family members that are willing to help. They will not tell the truth about your character if they want your children. They will lie about your character. They will allude to things that aren’t true to the court presiding over the case. They will attempt to ruin your professional and personal reputation. They will put lives at risk if it means getting the children to the buyers they want. This is just a friendly warning to all Black and Brown people who may deal with them in the future, please be careful and get a lawyer as soon as you can. Document and record every interaction you have with them. Don't cry in front of them because they will tell the judge that you are mentally unstable.Try to have you representatives with you or on the phone for all communication with them. It will be hard. But please take my recommendations seriously if you want your children back.

Be very very very very extremely careful with these people. They went to my moms window and continue to bang on her window so hard. And did not disclose who they are but forced to demand my mom to open the door. My mom is very smart. My mom is an old lady and almost went to the hospital because of these people. I'm definitely goingto video their every move and told her to do the same. They harassed my mom and say we are "hiding". My lawyer told me it is against the law to not disclose who they are but though force her to open the door...LOL yeah right! Although they never called me I have witnesses and can't wait to open a case against these people. I'm going to to continue to file a complaint until they are under investigation themselves. If they are so worried, why can't they just take it to the court? I did say that so I can let judge know they tried giving my mom a heart attack and she can sue back. Be careful with these people. They don't help they are not concern for you. They could care less about you they just want their money.

Absolutely no help whatsoever for an elderly person being cared by an incompetent relative. Despite giving lots of detail and follow-up for 911 calls, it was somehow deemed not worth investigating by their committee as the family member had broken no laws. Am not sure why they are unable to return calls as they are clearly not busy investigating neglect or abuse. No wonder this government agency has only 2.3 stars. How do you like how your tax dollars are being spent Colorado?

UPDATE- although they initially decided not to investigate, their follow-up staff did and were able to substantiate our concerns via investigations with medical staff, neighbors and family. They were thorough and caring and have recommended that the family member no longer be the care provider. We appreciate their concern and ongoing assistance.

these reviews are really something as a past kid in the foster care system i can say i do not believe cps is in the best interest of a child. I will also say maybe it was because i was a child but i keenly remember how social workers treated me and a dollar sign I see it is more important then people and community.

I honestly do not understand the purpose of having social workers. Social worker + hours of conversations= you having lost the hours from conversation with them. They have made our lives a living nightmare. Always on vacation from wasting people’s time who are usually in hard to believe situations. If the roles were switched I am sure they would hate to be the one helping themselves out.

If you need to contact the "crisis" hotline, be prepared that nothing happens right away. And once my situation was at critical mass, even the adult protection supervisor, Christin Mason couldn't be bothered either. Thank God for lawyers
