I will recommend this school to others. As a female foreigner with a harsh accent, I never felt that instructors or staff treated me differently than other students. Directions and instructions were clear, and tests were not difficult because all of us were well-prepared and all materials for our success were provided. I attended the USTDS in Wheat Ridge, CO to obtain my Class A cdl through Troops into Transportation at the end of May 2023. I honestly can't say enough good things about every aspect of this training program and school!! Everything for the office staff, to the instructors and everything in between!! I have been through a TON of training in my life with the military and through different civilian sectors, and can honestly say that this school was the most rewarding and the most positive experience I have ever had!! After graduating I had multiple job offers less than 2 weeks from returning home to PA!! If you are considering this school to obtain your CDL, stop considering and DO IT!!! You truly will not be disappointed in any aspect!! A special shout out to James, my examiner, Jared, the training manager, and Kristen from the office!! These individuals ONLY focus was to help me and my classmates succeed!! Thank you to EVERYONE at the USTDS for EVERYTHING you have done and continue to do to shape the future of the Transportation industry!!!

PS.
Any bad reviews on here are NOT a product of the trainers and school, they are strictly due to that specific individual that had a bad experience due to their participation, or lack there of, to embrace their drive and/or motivation in the program! People that place blame on certain aspects of their training are just passing the buck and cannot hold themselves accountable for their experience.

If you want to get your CDL and want to become a truck driver avoid this place at all costs. If you're looking for a CDL school it looks like this is your only option if you live in Denver Colorado but I promise you it is not. I went to the school and graduated and then immediately went to work for Swift Transportation. You will sit in a classroom going over regulations your first week and learning to use paper logs which you will never use as a truck driver realistically. When you finally do get to start driving and learning how to operate a tractor it will be in a dirt yard filled with potholes. You'll be lucky to see a truck made before 2007. You'll be driving around this yard with no air conditioner because their trucks are so run down. My leg was extremely store at the end of each day because they're clutch was so stiff and most of the gears slip. And don't expect a lot of help from the instructors. They usually have 3 trucks driving around the yard with three students per truck and one instructor standing in the center doing nothing. Speaking about the instructors it is very clear they hate working here as much as you will be. On a positive when it comes to your final test they will flat out tell you what you'll be tested on and they will do everything to pass you. If you want to learn to be a truck driver there are many companies that will take you once you have a class A CDL. This location will place you go to Swift which will cost you around $4,000. What they don't tell you is that if you had your class A CDL and went to work for Swift directly they will give you a sign on bonus to cover their enire school cost. You will not learn how to use the Qualcomm or learn any modern techniques past the 1970s. Do yourself a favor and call Swift directly or Schneider or CRST or any other major company that has their own School. The only positive I can say is that if you learn to drive rundown trucks in these terrible conditions it'll be easy for you to drive anything else. 1 star rating very well deserved

Excellent and amazing people here! In the office, Tammy and Peggy are incredibly sweet and welcoming. The EXTREMELY knowledgeable instructors will do everything they can for you to teach you everything you need to know so that you can earn your CDL. They all very much enjoy doing what they do. They have have a great sense of humor that really goes a long way to diminish the stress level that accompanies the learning process of operating a 35,000 lb vehicle. Trust in them. If you put in the effort and take what they have to offer, you will earn your CDL. John, Jared (spelling check), Larry, Lou, thank you so very much for everything. I truly enjoyed learning from all of you. You helped open up a whole new world for me and my family.

Pros: Fast paced classes , good instructors, on campus examiners, active recruiters, full time/ part time , day or night classes available!! A lot of time on the road before testing day. Curtis was my recruiter, very optimistic & sympathetic towards my situation then. He’s the reason I chose this school. CJ is a meticulous instructor, he was always happy to help and to answer any questions, he was very supportive through out my classes. I found his teaching method the easiest to comprehend. Jared was straight up and told us what we needed to hear to succeed , he kept it real . Loved that. CONS:Big classes & pricey classes (so worth it tho!)
