Our mom was so well taken care of during her last 5 months on this earth by the amazing staff at MorningStar Applewood!
Tyler, the wellness director, kept us well informed during mom's stages of dementia. He would reassure us he "had a plan."
Leroy, Destinee, Betty & Jolene were the caregivers we really got to know in the lodge memory care 🙂
It was a comfort to visit & feel their dedication to all of the residents. Thank you to everyone for all you do!

Beautiful community! Administrator, Morgan is wonderful and truly cares about the residents. Magen and Tony are great too! Food is delicious and there is always something fun going on 🙂 Would highly recommend!

My wife had early onset Alzheimer’s and moved into Applewood in September 2022. She died there in May 2024. While there was a turnover of care staff during her time there, all the caregivers were kind, loving, gentle and attentive. My wife felt comfortable, safe, secure and totally at ease with the staff. These were the most important aspects of her experience since she was not in a condition to enjoy the other amenities that are offered. The location is convenient and the recent update to the decor really makes Applewood feel contemporary. There is a very nice public park directly behind the facility to which I frequently took my wife when she was well enough. It was a convenient location for my daughter to take her mother when she was visiting with her toddler as there is a nice playground.

The team Cell at Morningstar specifically Magen, Tyler, and Andrea have gone above and beyond to make this a manageable experience for me and my family. Having a loved one go to Memory Care is probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and they showed up at every single turn with compassion, empathy, encouragement, and love. They went above and beyond to provide updates of how my grandma was doing, and even made special visits to her to ensure she was adjusting appropriately. They truly showed genuine concern for me and my family . I’m not sure that I would’ve been able to make it through this without them. The facility and the staff are amazing!

My mother lived at MorningStar Applewood for nearly two years. She lived on the 3rd floor and then moved to the 1st floor. Her studio apartments were both bright, clean, and designed with safety and efficiency in mind. Each of her rooms had a wonderful view to nature, which was important to mom. The location, just off I-70 and near a King Soopers, was convenient for access and associated errands. The management has improved dramatically since MorningStar acquired the community from Juniper. As expected, there was significant staff turnover and it has been for the better. The MorningStar Applewood team is accessible, compassionate, service-oriented, and skilled. I want to make particular note of the Memory Care team who far exceeded my expectations.

My dad is a resident at Morning Star Applewood. He has been there over a year. He has a room overlooking the park. Morning Star is very accommodating to my dad’s needs. If I have concerns Tyler will address them immediately. This place is clean. The staff is wonderful with my dad. I’m happy my dad is at Morning Star Applewood. I would recommend Morning Star Applewood for a person who needs assistive and memory care.

This community has got to be the most dysfunctional places to place any human. My grandmother lived at this community, her medication orders were always wrong, lack of care for her so she would always be in her urine or bm waiting for a response on care staff, they never have consistent staff. The kitchen food is not tasteful, they never have any kitchen staff to cook or serve, so grandmother would wait on for that was always cold. For the price my grandmother paid to live at this community was not worth it at all. Places like this should not be able to operate and care for humans who have under trained staff, no consistent management, or no knowledge as to how to take care of such a vulnerable population. Grateful we moved our grandmother out.
