BEWARE!

This place charged me $1190 in copays. I don't have a copay. They claim i will be refunded from an appointment i had OCTOBER 18TH ....not a cent. They need an EOB before refunding. They got that on DECEMBER 5TH it is DECEMBER30th!!!.... Insurance company verified they sent payment also. So they have double payment! CORPORATE GREED is what this place is about. I have made 5 or more calls to the Insurance company, my bank, and the clinic. Time I won't get back trying to get money I'm not going to see in time before January rent is due if at all. No recourse for their bad behavior!

BEWARE!!!!!

First session, the therapist sent a text 30 minutes prior to session letting me know is was cancelled because she wasn’t available. After years of contemplating therapy, this was a real let down. Thrive works has a 48 hour cancellation policy for clients but I guess the same rules don’t apply to the therapist. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

My counselor in Johnathan and let me just say that I've been through many places in the past and seen many different people. He is the first one I've ever come acrossed who has been able to correctly relate to me without seeming like he's just guessing. He is awesome and I'm glad I went with him to begin with.

Rob Dorr has been amazing thus far with my 8 year old son. I was skeptical to do counseling via Zoom, but he is very engaging and really knows how to get on my sons level and make him smile and laugh. He's a super goofy guy who specialized in ADHD, depression and anxiety with kids. So far he's been a perfect match for my son and I am very pleased. He also keeps me in the loop of the discussions so I am not left in the dark and gives me pointers on things to work on and what to expect. Definitely recommend!

This place was great! I called and talked to a very professional receptionist. She got me set up for an appointment for an available slot that had opened up within the same week. When I got there and met with my counselor, she was friendly and welcoming.
The office was comfortable, not sterile, which allowed me to open up more quickly. Even though this was just the first session, the counselor helped guide me through some of the issues I'm having and discussing the next steps to help me. Overall, I had a great experience here!

I don’t recommend Thriveworks. I was connected to them through ZocDoc, but didn’t know I was signing up for a membership until after my first session. I was told by my therapist and billing that my insurance would fully cover the sessions. That was not true. Trying to cancel my membership is a hassle. I was hung up on twice, but the chat function seemed to work. I also didn’t know about a monthly membership fee until I was looking at the website to cancel. Overall the experience has added more stress to life.

Marcy L is a great therapist and I definitely recommend her! I am a past colleague of hers and have had the pleasure of consulting on cases, attending groups she has facilitated, and been able to see the passion she has for this profession and her clients. She is able to bring professionalism, creativity, and compassion in to sessions.

My experience with Thriveworks was not very good. The first meeting session went well. The second session, I was texted by the counselor I was meeting with and asked if we could change the time from 2:30 to 11:30, and that was more than okay for me, but then, on the day of, the counselor text me again and canceled. The third session, the counselor text me saying she was running 15 minutes behind, and then 10 minutes before we are to meet, texts again and says to meet at the original time. The next time, the counselor text asking if we could move all Thursday appointments to 9:30am, I agreed and confirmed. Today, Thursday, at 9:30am, I go to my appointment, the door is locked, I text her, no response, after waiting I decided to leave and text her again when I got home letting her know I waited. Then, I get a text from her saying, “come on up.” Then she sends another text saying, “our appointment is at 10 it’s 10:01”- I’m shocked at this point and call her and explained that not only did she send a text saying all Thursday appointments are at 9:30, but that we had written it down on paper 3 days ago and confirmed multiple times. She then says, “oh, that’s right, it was for 9:30, my mistake, what do you wanna do, so you want to just talk over the phone right now?” I explained that at this point, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and told her I had to go for now and she said, “okay” and I hung up. Then, I received a text from her saying, “ Sorry about that. I was doing an intake with a new client with a horrific trauma history and It was just a mistake on my part. Let me know if you want to continue or would like to cancel future sessions. I understand the frustration but feel a little offended being hung up on”

My experience felt so unprofessional.
