I temporarily lived in the Joshua Tree area for about 2 months and trained at Americana during my time there. This gym is awesome!

Michael and his daughters deliver techniques in not only Jiu Jitsu, but wrestling also. Through their lineage of Erik Paulson I had the pleasure to meet him and changed my entire outlook on the game.

Jiu Jitsu is changing for the better and takedown/standup techniques are more important than ever.

This gym is amazing. My son trained here when he lived in the area. Now, we visit whenever we’re in town. It’s family oriented and so welcoming. I even took in a kickboxing class and it was fire. Would most definitely recommend you pop in and check it out. Its home away from home.

When I walked into the gym I had no previous experience with martial arts. The staff and members were incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable very quickly. The coaches are very knowledgeable and take the time to break everything down slowly, answer all your questions, and provide feedback as you go. I would recommend this gym for all levels of ability - from beginner to advanced.

Wow. What an amazing place to start the endless yet satisfying journey. As a 36 year old with no prior training, i have completely felt welcomed and appreciated by the staff and fellow members. Outstanding quality of folks. Ego less and whole hearted 100%.

If youre like me and have contemplated over and over if you should start, i highly regard and recommend Americana Jiu Jitsu Collective. Its easy to be intimidated to try something new but once the first drop of sweat hits the mat, you will be hooked. This place is a great opportunity to rebuild mental health, physical health, and most importantly, new relationships. Thank you to Coach Mike and Coach Leo for blessing me with this opportunity to dwell in an absolute obsession.

I came to appreciate the art of bjj and to learm how to play human chess with fellow students. My favorite part of each class is definitely the last 15 minutes of open mat rolling. Outstanding.
