Alex is an amazing sensei/teacher; he has great insights into what practice will bring out the best in each student. I’ve done sward and karate with him, and his nature training, which is an amalgamation of many disciplines in a powerful nature setting. It is unlike anything else out there! No matter what class you take, Alex provides a great workout with a deeper martial arts experience. He gets 5 stars from me!

I train kickboxing and Japanese sword with Alex and both practices have been SO supportive for my all around strength and power. Alex has a deep wealth of knowledge in the physical and spiritual components of martial arts and he approaches his classes educating on both of these aspects which really. makes the class feel complete. I feel so much more confident in my fight techniques and I am excited to see how I can keep growing in these practices. I would recommend this Dojo to beginners and experienced practitioners alike!

Awesome! Great for cross-training and more disciplined martial arts. Got such a good workout and Alex is a positive and encouraging instructor/sensei. Some of my friends and I took a sunset sword class and it was EPIC. The outdoor workout classes both give you that satisfying workout burn while also allowing you to connect with the rugged and beautiful desert landscape! Can't wait to go back for more!

Joining the Desert Tsunami Dojo changed my life! I always was turned off by most martial art studios as they were overly aggressive and demeaning. Alex on the other hand is one of the kindest and most thoughtful teachers/masters I ever encountered. A Mister Miyagi/Morpheus type who takes his students through a journey of discovery and awakening - never forgetting the art within martial arts.
