Make sure that you read their ridiculously long contract. They send you reminders via email but the email does not state you will be charged. If you accidentally miss your appointment they will charge you the entire cost of the visit.

Our counselor Olivia was late for the first appointment with me then when I accidentally made a mistake and thought my appointment was the following week, she charged me the entire cost of the visit. I work in a medical practice and I understand a missed appointment charge but $120 this was ridiculous. She first told me she was not going to charge me but then fired me as a client even after I texted her I was willing to work out and equitable agreement and wanted to discuss it, I was willing to pay something.

This was a first offense.I rarely ever post google reviews because I believe in second chances and people can make mistakes. I was not allowed that courtesy I decided to share my experience.

It is not uncommon people approach me needing a second therapist, in which case Sarah comes to mind every time. She has always been very professional, frank with people and stays sharp with what is happening in the field. I trust she will address the right things with people. At times I have occasion to refer clients out to another therapist for a variety of reasons. Sarah is always on my "A" list for this. She is very professional and keeps current on the most effective therapy techniques.

As a professional colleague with 26 years experience in private practice I have referred several clients to Sarah following my policy of only referring to professionals to whom I might refer a family member. Clients who saw Sarah always reported that she was extremely helpful and solidly professional. Should you choose to visit Sarah you'll find safety, comfort and solid professional assistance. My husband and I saw Kara Marshall for couples counseling, and were terribly disappointed. I do believe that her heart is in the right place, but she is woefully unequipped to deal with marital issues. When we first began she told us all about her background, none of which included extensive couples counseling experience (it sounds like substance issues and such are more her specialty). I asked about her methodology, and she couldn't really give me an answer; I got a hippyish answer sort of alluding to "we'll see where therapy takes us." I understand that every couple is different, but this did not induce confidence, and neither did the numerous references she made to her recent break up. We had two sessions- the second one was so out there and unproductive (destructive perhaps?), that we will not be returning.

Sarah was calming for our situation. She understood many things and was able to help me put emotions into words. I was able to open up with her and felt comfortable.
