I highly recommend Pennock Center for Counseling. I have found them to be extremely thoughtful, compassionate, and professional. Fees are based on a sliding scale according to income which has allowed me to see Jody Pierce on an as-needed basis for the past few years. I am grateful to Jody for helping me with personal matters as well as family issues. Every encounter I've had with Jody and with Pennock have been positive and professional.

Not what I was expecting, I reached out to them for couples therapy to fix a problem between my husband & I for our babies. Once I let them know what was going on, they reported to child services right away. Definitely not a complete confidential place. I wouldn’t trust this place for a full confidential place I would say just go to church with a Priest.

My daughter was assigned to Rachel. Rachel was incredibly pushy to me. She did not listen to what I had to say and “scolded” me in front of my daughter. Her tactic seems to be to divide the family to gain the trust of the client. We decided to change therapists - Rachel called and scolded me again over the phone. As an adult, I did not feel like being yelled at by someone over the phone. I cut her off, politely said “thank you”, and hung up the phone. She tried to call me back after that. Yikes. I would think, being a counselor, that she would be more in control of herself and not feel the need to tell patients off. She may be a great therapist for some... but she was not a good fit for us, at all.

I was denied services before I could even start the lady that called me to set up my intake was extremely rude and hateful why I haven't finished my application I told her I was struggling to fill some of it out and she told me if I couldn't figure it out then I can't be seen and hung up on me I don't need anymore negativity in my life that's why I need therapy I wouldn't recommend this place as it will probably drag you down more before lifting you up
