Teresa is absolutely one of the best dog trainers in our valley. Very professional and very attentive to you and the dogs needs. Teresa will also do boarding upon request, we have used her several times, and our little dog loves going there for play date and sleep over. I would highly recommend Teresa, and I have. I really can't say enough about her and her business.

Teresa Cowart is an amazing dog trainer. Her experience and skill are far beyond any trainer I have worked with in over 40 years of having Gold-Rush Golden Retrievers. I am blessed knowing her and my dog, Java, is highly trained. I am often asked how did he get so well trained… it was Teresa’s training him and those in my family as well!

Teresa is amazing. She genuinely "gets" dogs and understands how to work with their triggers. I have a fear-based aggressive, anxious dog, who can be reactive to anybody outside her "pack." Teresa was able to quickly identify her needs for interactions and keep her in her home where she was safe and comfortable. Even better, my dog came home to us without exhibiting signs of stress and trauma, unlike a different boarding situation we tried years ago. Additionally, Teresa offered advice on things we could work with her on at home. My dog is now a "senior," but wish we had found Teresa years ago to help us with more of her training. We are so grateful for Teresa's patience, confidence with challenging dogs, and most importantly, having a safe place for my dog to go on our weekends out of town.

I have a Great Pyrenees and if you know the breed at all you know they are tough to train! Stubborn, super smart, a mind of their own and they think they know better than you at all times and did I mention stubborn. I always joke that he is thinking... You don't have to yell lady, I hear you, I am just not going to do that right now. Maybe in a minute.

I grew up with the breed and knew what I was getting into but this boy takes the cake on being dominate. Teresa was kind, patient but very firm with him. It wasn't easy at first but she turned him into the gentle giant he is today. She taught me how to work with him and how to train a strong willed dog with a loving but in-charge approach. I am so grateful to her and all her expertise. I honestly don't think I would be a happy dog owner now if it wasn't for her.

When I first started training with Teresa, my German Shepherd, Minka was very aggressive towards other dogs and people. I had no idea how to handle Minka and how to correct these problems. Teresa taught me the tools that I needed to fix these serious problems and Minka is now a completely different dog! Minka is no longer aggressive towards people or other dogs and I’m a better dog handler because of Teresa’s expert knowledge and experience. Teresa is literally a miracle worker. I am forever grateful to her for helping me change the trajectory of Minka’s life for the better. Teresa is also extremely calm and patient during training sessions, which is important to me as I get nervous when learning new skills in front of someone, so training with Teresa alleviates that pressure. In addition to dog training I have boarded my German shepherds with Teresa as well and there is NO ONE other than Teresa that I would trust to watch and care for my fur babies when I’m gone on vacations!

Teresa was an absolute joy with work with. She took great care of my dog and sent me updates. My dog has separation anxiety and he didn't seem to miss me at all while with Teresa. I highly recommend anyone looking for training to contact Teresa and go over your goals with her. You won't be disappointed!
